I know the injury concerns loom large, but, is that the only thing? I'm thinking he'll see lots of minutes on a fast paced team and will be rejuvenated a bit playing for a new team.

I think the injury concerns are the main reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if the over/under on games played would be at 60.

I know I'm new to this league, but why do I see this need in folks for others to call their picks reaches?? That said, Lin is a definite reach .. happy Flop? :)

Actually, I don't think he's such a reach. Just among the top 4 reaches. But that doesn't mean it's at all big.

I'm not exactly proud of it. I'm a bit annoyed that I had to take him there. The trade situation messed me up. I doubt I'm going to be trying to trade any picks going forward, it hasn't been productive.

I got so bored with this slow draft that in the mean time I updated my linkedin and even sent in a couple of applications that I had been putting off for days.

I don't want to be picky, but don't I have 8 full hours? You picked Rubio at 8:50 EST, which was within my 8 hours (the previous pick was 12:50 EST). I think you had to wait until 8:51 EST to make your pick.

if u were right, I wouldn't describe it as picky but you're wrong, once it's 8:50 then 8 hours have passed

Were you going to pick Rubio though? :P (I know that's not your point Brian)

Either way, I think that's a very risky pick especially without IL this year. Depending on when he comes back, it could really handicap a team from the start. Then again, if he miraculously comes back before the season starts, this would be the steal of the draft.

I have never seen guys come back early and succeed after serious knee ligament injuries. I wouldn't have touched him even with a stick, at least until 80

Actually, at 8:50, it has "reached" my 8 hours, but they weren't passed, so technically, Woody had to wait until 8:51, because that's when 8 hours is officially passed.

That being said, I don't want to hold up the draft, and I'm fine with Thornton. So carry on.

Let's see if we can get through the next 3 picks quickly, I'm around for only the next couple of hours.
