California's bigger than the Carolinas, Virginia, and DC combined and has a population several times that.

Is Florida much bigger than the Carolinas and Virginia?

Wasn't Norfolk in the running to get the Hornets way back when? I think it was Norfolk, Louisville, and NOLA if I recall. All mainly dumb places for a pro sports team compared to the other open markets out there.

The Kings should absolutely be going to Seattle. It's Stern's chance to give back because they were raped and pillaged by the NBA. It's like "build a new stadium tomorrow or we're moving it". "What? You have to talk about it and plan??? That's it we're moving to a short term small market who has a shiny new building tomorrow"

Seattle should get their Sonics back or KC should get their Kings back.

Louisville would be fine for a pro basketball team. Their college basketball is massive and they don't have any pro teams to compete with for merchandise.

A deal seems to be set for the kings relocation to Virginia Beach if an Arena deal can be struck.

For what it's worth, if the Kings were to move to Virginia, one team from the East would have to move to the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference team that is located farthest west is... the Chicago Bulls.

Can you imagine the craziness in the West if that happened? As if there aren't already about 11 teams in the west worthy of making the playoffs if they were in the East.

If the Kings stupidly move to VA Beach, the Bucks will move to Seattle and be the new Sonics

I would say the Kings are the most likely candidate to become the new Sonics. Although I think that there are many cities that should be given a shot rather than Seattle. Raleigh, N.C. for example. :D

I'd cream jean if Raleigh got an NBA franchise (even the Kings), but that'll never happen.

Don't want them in VA Beach, either. That place is... not the best.
