G-D, I always do this because of D.J. Williams the te, but I meant D.J. Smiff. I'll edit the op.

I'm hoping they look at Hoyer as a potential backup and consider adding Coleman to the PS.

Unless he signs with another team (unlikely) he's a lock for our PS.

I would guess Ross or boykins are gone today after they pick up an 8th ol. Manning probably makes it through week one until Waldon is activated.

Guard Greg Van Roten and TE Brandon Bostick also signed to the PS.

I'll drop this in here.

I've always been a fan of Simmons' NBA Trade Value column, and now Barnwell (with the help of Simmons) put together an NFL version. Three Packers are on the list. Check it out.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like bringing in an additional o-lineman is a definite possibility, but I do wonder if they are just going to hang tight and see what happens first, an injury or Sherrod coming back healthy.

Interesting call on Borel over Gurley, but can't say I disagree. As Cobbinance becomes more involved in the offense, it doesn't hurt to have the flexibility to call up a poor man's cobb in Borel should Cobb ever get hurt. Wouldn't be surprised to see Gurley get activated to MN's active roster at some point during the regular season.

Did the packers have first dibs on resigning their FAs? I would think Gurley would've wanted out after not making the roster this year.

I don't know if they "chose" Borel over Gurley. I'm guessing that Borel was willing to accept a spot on the PS while Gurley wanted to go somewhere he thinks he'd get a roster spot.

If I'm not mistaken (per the tweets of the beat reporters), GB absolutely did choose Borel and it was a concious decision not to offer Gurley a spot on the practice squad.

Dale Moss to the TB practice Squad.

Levine to the Ravens practice squad.

MJD to report to JAX today.

My goodness does this article shed some insight into what has been going on with Terrell Manning. Spoiler - a parasite, significant weight loss, and only recently recovering, all the while never missing a practice.

I've been longing for the day Anthony Smith was no longer a member of this team. I'm so happy that happened after the XLV season. Maybe he's gotten his act together over the past few years, but I'll always remember him for being the loud mouth punk who got owned after talking **** when he replaced an injured Polomalu for one game. I honestly don't remember the situation any more than that, but it certainly left an impression on my mind.

I think you are actually thinking of Anthony Smith, who hasn't been on the team for a while now.
