If Happ continues pitching really well, we could win this series or even sweep !

I'm sure the Orioles feel the exact opposite. The Jays are now looked at as an easy series. My how times have changed.

We seem to have problems vs soft-tossing lefties! Saunders will pitch way better than he actually is VS us this afternoon.

No Romero and Alvarez means we have a good chance in all 3.

Is it safe to say Sierra pretty much Davis on the field and bases with a better arm ?

Right handed hitting Thames with an elite arm

It's hard to project a role for him, even as fourth outfielder, since his awkwardness in the field sort of defeats the point of trying to use him as a late inning defensive replacement ( no matter how good his arm is )

Meaningless games in September? Jays being lapped by former perennial doormats?

It all seems pretty familiar to me.

Baltimore leap-frogging the Jays is the worst thing that's happened this season. They Jays are the doormat team of the division now.

Man, Baltimore's record in one run games has to be some sort of MLB record, or damn close to it. They are not anywhere near as good as their record indicates....but they still might make the playoffs.

The Jays are never in it in September, but usually finish fairly strong and put up a good fight. They haven't been this far out of it, and in last place, in a very long time. The fact that Baltimore is poised to make the postseason just highlights how wide open this seasons was for the Jays to make some noise and they failed to do so. I don't think they'll get another chance for awhile.

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If you can't judge a team by their record, y'know, what actually happened on the field, then what do you judge them by?

It's real easy; they have a negative run differential. There is no logical explanation for how they've put themselves in a spot to contend, other than luck, but there is also little reason to believe they will repeat this next season.

This team really needs a LF next season Davis/Gose/Sierra isn't good enough, especially if Hech is going to play everyday @ 2b.

Unless the Bullpen is in Las Vegas, I doubt it.
