He is, although I'm not sure if he has accepted any invite yet. Got offers from a number of teams (both in the NBA & overseas) apparently.

Did I hear correctly that Lamb has a 6-11 wingspan? If so that is freaking insane! Standing at 6-6 that should be a tough shot to block.

on clutchfans pple were knockin down his defense, saying he's a hybrid of monta ellis and kevin martin. pshhh if i had an account there i'd remind them about his 7 FOOT WINGSPAN AT 6'5!

he has potential to play at an all star level on both sides of the court

Draft Express has Lamb at 6' 4'' without shoes.

Also, to give a sense of how his 6' 11'' wingspan compares to others, the average wingspan for players of his height is about 6' 8''
based on compiled draft data:

Interestingly, I noticed that Lamb's wingspan is even longer than Iman Shumpert's, whom I've heard cited as having an excellent NBA profile, which also refers to his beefy 222 pds. Shump's 6' 9'' wingspan has certainly helped with his strong one-on-one defense.

Don't see how that was a buzzkill. You probably just read the first line of my post only, like a typical troll waiting to find something to feed on.

Going into the season, the question mark for me is not whether Machado can pass but whether he can defend NBA guards. At 6' 0'', he's on the small end even for PGs, and he is not noted for superior quickness. Rondo for example has exploited small guards using his post up game.

comparing a 3rd string pg (backup at best) to an all-star pg?

Even backup PGs have to play defense when they step on the court. Otherwise whatever offense he contributes is nullified. The point isn't that Rondo is better than a rookie.

So, at this point:

Lin/Machado
Martin/Lamb
Parsons/Delfino
Patterson/Motiejunas
Asik/Smith

Livingston & Douglas probably still on the roster. White & Jones start in the D-League before being brought up after a few weeks to back up multiple positions?

Morris has to go somewhere too...

You know, do you think Phoenix will give us the Laker picks for Morris? Might as well reunite the twins.

conclusion
6'0" is small so bad on defense
that's you Chris Paul, Kyle Lowery
Lin is Asian, not athletic
so bad on defense

Not athletic? He's no John Wall/Derrick Rose, but he's gotdecent hops and by most accounts is one of the faster players in the league.

Lin's plenty athletic, the guy blew past a lot of folks and can certainly dunk. It's just a stereotype that if you don't have loads of melanin that means you have no hops.

What he needs to improve on moving forward is keeping control of the game. That's why he has loads of turnovers.

you guys missed my point
sidestep said Machado is 6' tall and is smaller than most pg and question his d
so i said CP3 and Lowry are bad defensive players as well
and since Lin is Asian he is not suppose to be athletic

If Jeremy Lin can stay healthy, he will be a fun player to watch for this team. I'm not sure for his consistency, but he'll definitely have career high games.

Your starting 5 seems pretty much set:

Lin
Martin
Parsons
Patterson
Asik

But I think your bench might end up something like this:

Lamb and Delfino sub in at the guard spots.
White is the primary ballhandler in the second unit, but plays the 3.
Jones and Motiejunas at the 4/5.
Machado gets a few spot minutes to help relieve Lin/White.

So essentially:

Lin/Lamb
Martin/Delfino
Parsons/White
Patterson/Jones
Asik/Motiejunas
