I honestly don't remember the situation any more than that, but it certainly left an impression on my mind.

I think you are actually thinking of Anthony Smith, who hasn't been on the team for a while now.

Haha, in all honesty I never made that mistake until this preseason. But yeah, was definitely pulling against that guy for no reason at all.

Michael Rodney ‏@PackerUpdate
GB completes PS by signing former Steeler OL Chris Scott. He was a fifth round pick out of Tennessee in 2010. Played in 2 games last season.

Weird to be getting an OL from OL starved Pit, but Tominance knows best.

My goodness does this article shed some insight into what has been going on with Terrell Manning. Spoiler - a parasite, significant weight loss, and only recently recovering, all the while never missing a practice.

Wow. That's pretty incredible.

I thought something seemed off about him. Glad to hear he's on the mend. PS Cut Hawk.

I think we should trade for D. Garrard from Miami, looks like he might no have a spot. Heck TT offer them a 6th rd pick for Garrard. I'd feel way more comfortable with Garrard as our backup QB, then Harrell.

I wouldn't. Garrard is a has been that was never good. Harrell has at least been in our system for two years.

Are we really going to feel that much better with Garrard starting than Harrell if we need a backup QB? I'm fine with getting a different backup QB if the price is right but if we're just going to go from Harrell to a guy like Garrard, we should just keep Harrell and the picks we would have to give up.

Yeah I don't see the point in bringing in another QB at this point. Harrel isn't the most ideal but as the skipping record repeats, if Rodgers goes down we're f'd no matter what. No Garrard or McCoy is really going to change that.

I agree. Like most other teams with a elite-legit starting QB, it's a wrap if we had to go with the #2 qb. GB, NE, NO, NYG, DEN, SF, SD, DAL(i know they have Orton, yay), etc. seasons would be finished if it came the backup QB.... and i'm ok with that.

I dont feel that there is a need to trade for a #2 QB... I have also abondoned the "trade James Jones" ship. Not sure that Jennings(or DD) stays after this season so our top-notch WR depth will be challenged with that kind of a loss. If that went down, we'd be going into the season with Jordy, JJ, Cobb, Borel(?), Boykin(?) and prolly a draft pick. Nice depth but not what we've become accustomed to.

Good article on Jennings and contract

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Part of the reason I'd trade Jones would be to free up more money for Jennings. I think you pay difference makers if at all possible.

We need to think about how likely it is that we'd ever replace Jennings with somebody as good before the end of Rodgers' tenure. I'd have to think it's pretty unlikely.

Yeah, I'd make room for Jennings. Whether that means cutting Hawk, trading Jones, etc. I like Nelson and Cobb, but I love them as our #2 and #3 WR.

I think that's where Cobb comes in. Its pretty important that he takes that leap from promising to atleast very solid. That and Fin getting his act together.

I dont want to discount GJ's importance but w/o him we're still SB calibur, IMO and the same cannot be said about being w/o ARod, Clay, Raji. Kind of a pipe dream that all 4 get new deals... a crack pipe dream.

Hey Guys,

The Game Thread for this weekend is not up yet, but I wanted to ask a question as I am heading to the game this weekend. This is my first time scalping tickets at lambeau, anyone have any tips regarding scalping. I know they are going to be expensive, but stub hub's cheapest ticket is around 150 for endzone seats. I'd rather take a chance and get a ticket from a scalper for a little cheaper and non endzone! Thanks!
