With enough veterans to make the rotation, the Bulls go with some young talent. In Jared Cunningham the Bulls pick up an uber athletic 6'5" SG/PG that was among the nations leaders in steals (2.5 per game) and one of its top perimeter defenders (PAC-12 All Defensive First Team). But not only is Cunningham a top notch defensive player but he's also one of the quickest players in college basketball with the ability to drive and finish while ranking as the most efficient scorer in transition. Super light and quick on his feet, Cunningham should be able to add more strength to his frame as well as develop his jump shot and turn out to be a quality NBA player down the road.

Worth the gamble at 2 years for $1.35 million per (with the 2nd year not guaranteed). He won't be needed to play much and if he doesn't work out then he doesn't work out (no big deal). Really didn't like anyone else enough (ok...liked 3 other guys but 2 of em was really redundant and the other is just as gimpy and doesn't really fit the tempo of the team). He was really in a bad situation in Washington but on a team competing for something meaningful hopefully Lewis will be able to become a solid contributor off the bench for the Bulls.



Figured someone will probably take him for the same exact reasons before FA so might as well take him now.
