Re: way to go Joe!
Joe's not the one remaining silent at the trade line, looking for cheap replacements while Red Sox cleaned house in one sweep.
Joe's not responsible for player conditioning. Riddle me this, how is Jeter at 38 staying fit and playing almost every day while guys paid more are struggling and getting hurt?
What happened to Cano? What happened to Granderson's average? Old habits?
Can any manager win with this rotation? The pen looks spent. Again, CC looks tired despite TWO trips to the DL as precautionary measures.
Can we get anything offensively from the catcher position?
And you blame the manager? Are you watching ANY of these games or just highlights?

Bring back Torre!
Seriously though Joe gets some blame, but most of it is off of his shoulders. This team isn't dominant in any way, things like these were bound to happen when most of your highly paid players are maddeningly inconsistent.

It's also time to wonder...is CC still a #1 or more like a #2 with all the innings piling up over his career.

If Arod has an ounce of integrity, he retires and stops embarrassing himself.

Arod is the least of our problems

Re: way to go Joe!
Who was the idiot that reupped ARod for the GNP of most 3rd world nations again?
And while I'm sure Teixeira is a real nice guy and sure the defense is great blah, blah, blah but is it me or is he the most invisible run producer for the Yanks in a long, long time?
Yankees should have moved Teixeira at the deadline for some prospects like the Sox did with Gonzalez when teams were looking for overpaid sluggers and not needing a lot of money thrown in. Now if they try to move him in the offseason (to free up money for either a front line pitcher or a power guy who can hit more than .220) they're going to basically pay half his giant contract to do it.
Yankees biggest problem is that they hold onto veteran players way too long pass their usefulness and can't get **** for them.

I'm not going to panic. Yanks have Kuroda tonight, @Baltimore, then Boston, then Tampa. O's have Yanks, Rays, and A's...Pettitte AND Nova set to come off the DL.
How bad Tex and Granderson are hurting is another issue.
Yanks have ALL the chances in the world to get the division.
The problem with MLB, they didn't make an NFL-esque move with the new CBA regarding contracts when players test positive with PEDs. Contracts should become non-guaranteed if a player tests positive. Yanks are so mum on A-rod.
You guys always wondered WHY I was pissed at Cashman. This guy always bites on players who present like corporate stooges. He FOUGHT to re-sign A-rod, Teixiera...and outbid the Sawx. Never mind wanted to bring back Pavano.
Brian is NOT very good at evaluating the importance of SP. This rotation is atrocious.
How about Ichiro? Don't know why Cash needed to make that deal...
A lot of problems on this team. This off season it's time to clean house.

It was Hank Steinbrenner who went above and beyond for Arod. Not Cashman.

Jeter goes 3 for 3. Hitting .320. Hey wasn't it Hank, Levine, AND Cashman (whose disturbing comments on the Michael Kay show) felt he wasn't worth his salt.
Let's talk about how much money has been on the DL...and YET, Jeter keeps on hitting.
3-1 Yanks.
