Backup PG?
Am I the only one not completely sold on the erratic Watson and unproven Taylor as Deron's backups? I think the Nets should sign Chris Quinn. He's 28, in the prime of his career, and coming off a monster season in Russia. Add in his veteran chops and no-nonsense attitude and I think CQ would be the perfect foil to AB's crazyness.

Come on now Chris, you can't be that badly off that you have to post on RealGM looking for a back up job, surely your agent could help you out

Re: Backup PG?
Absolutely not needed.
We have
A) one of the top PGs in the game who will take up most of the minutes at this spot this year,
B) an average backup PG who did great filling in for Rose's absence last year,
C) a rookie PG who has a lot of potential and experience in the big spotlight, and finally
D) other guards capable of playing the point if needed.

Re: Backup PG?
Watson is one of the best backup PGs in the league, btw. Sure, he can be erratic...but that's why he's a backup.
The only backup PG off the top of my head I would for sure take over Watson would be Jarret Jack.
OT: I know Farmar kind of sucked, but when he was on, he was legitimately the best backup PG in the league...because he actually has starter talent.

Re: Backup PG?
On the real, IDK though. We sign this guy and we're going to have to hear how Deron is just a product of Quinn, and Joe Cool is a product of Quinn and that Quinn made Teletovic.

PG is the one spot I feel overly confident in.
