The Killer Bs?

Post#1 » by Bertrob » Thu Sep 6, 2012 8:28 pm

What the hell happened to these guys? They were hyped up as our "Generation K" and yet we haven't had even a SINGLE one contribute anything. Was it just unfortunate injuries or were these guys massively overrated?

Well we released brackman banuelos got injured betances got demoted to aa
Technially betances and brackman have pitched for the big club during previous sept.
They still have time to be good (banuelos more than betances who cant always control his stuff ala aj burnett) all in all it was a better year for hitters than pitchers as far as yankees prospects go

all have been busts so far as far as living up to expectations

its a classic example of overrating prospects and not going for the sure thing

As of right now, the "other pitcher" we got in the Montero deal (Jose Campos) is probably the one most likely to be a frontline pitcher in the majors...and even he might be looking at Tommy John surgery on his pitching elbow. Talk about crap luck.
