Again, Blatche is about to sign an UNGUARANTEED contract.
That is not even a Vets' Min deal. It means that no team is willing to RISK signing him to a one year Vets' Min GUARANTEED contract. Do you understand the implications of that?
F'n Jerry Stackhouse got a guaranteed Vets' Min contract, and I'm pretty sure Stack died about 2 1/2 years ago.
I think I fully understand it, it's obvious you're having trouble grasping the simplest of concepts.
Blatche was just amnestied by the Wizards.
This means Washington still has to pay him the remaining approximate $23 million dollars left on his contract over the next 3 seasons no matter what he does.
He's not signing a vet min deal cause he's worried about the million dollars and change it pays him.
He wants to sign a vet min deal to show he's still worthy of being a rotation player on an NBA roster, so that he can go out and sign a multi-year, multimillion dollar contract after this season.
The last thing he wants is a team being able to control how much he makes and where he plays next year as well as this year.
Bottom line is he won't be a Net next year unless it's by the Taxpayer's MLE.
Okay, let's talk about the $23 mil,
First, there is the escrow money, which should be 10%
Then there are his agents fees
Then, of course, there are taxes, and I believe 'Dray will pay more than the 13% Romney pays.
And pretty sure he has spent a good amount of his future salary already, being he seems to be an incredible moron.
Probably a mortgage on a too expensive house that he bought.
Then there is hooker and baby mama money.
I'm going to assume that, financially, Blatche isn't set for life.
In fact, I might be more financially secure than 'Dray.
