JR vs. Ray: That's a toss up really. I'd go Ray first too probably, he's going to be getting A LOT of open looks behind the 3 point line in Miami, but that's all he'll probably do. JR might do more all around.

I debated this for a bit as well,

I just like Smiths steal potential... Ray Ray might grab more value depending on Wade's health or if Miami decides to go really small.

Well, there was a journeyman vet who looked to have landed on a team that could use him in a big way. But, when I went over to the team forum on Realgm to see what the fans thought, they were thinking they had two younger guys who were even better. Since it was a rebuilding team I figured they might be right, that team might go with youth, even if the youth isn't quite as good as the fans think it is.

So, I decided against him.

and with Bogut and Asik combined I might get as many blocks as Ibaka does on his own. Maybe.

I know exactly who you're talking about, and I passed on him as well for similar reasons.

Regardless of what their fans think, he's going to start and they are going to use him. The real problem is that his minutes will be in the 20's, and he's a two stat player (so if you aren't looking for those stats at this point in the draft, he's pretty useless).

Since I already had Allen by the time you picked JR, I hope you didn't too long. The other negative to Smith is his low %s , which didn't fit in with my team.

I had Ray higher. Actually thought about drafting him instead of Kevin Martin. I think he will surprise a lot of people and will log on more minutes than most think. He will fit into Miami's system, and while he's old, he's still relatively quick, and his shot will always be there.

Miami is where old wing shooters go to die.... QRich, Mike Miller, and now Ray.

Intellectually, I agree with you - he's a solid pick. He should do well at that draft position for you in Miami. But I've been burned so many times with aging Miami shooters, I just can't put my hand on the stove anymore.

Well said. However, Ray is better now than Miller or QRich ever were.

if anybody is interested in either Hibbert or Glen Davis shoot an offer at cankori at g*m-a-i*l dot com

but I will need a center in return, just need a bit different stats that will compliment one of the other I'm keeping.

Wow, I'm bummed by the Vasquez pick. My alma mater and all, I was hoping he'd drop to 136. I think it might have been a little early for him, but definitely a high value pick.

I am not really a fan of the Vasquez pick. But, I guess at this point in the draft there aren't many sure things.

I probably wouldn't take Vasquez with my #142 either. He did start and got a lot of PT on the Hornets last year but the numbers wasn't impressive at all. Can't make threes, commits tons of turnovers and is very inconsistent. I don't think he's starting material in the NBA and the Hornets are likely to look for alternative options for the point guard position midseason.

I think I know who my next two picks are. So I'm going to jinx it, just like Hopper did. (Or was it jazzfan? I can't remember.)

Whats the record number of times a single pick has been traded?
I saw #153 in the latest trade and thought I'd seen it before, so I tracked it down and remembered that it started with me and has been moved 3 times. That pick is practically guaranteed to be a steal because of how many times it's been traded. Talk about a chip on your shoulder.

It's always nifty to see when your rankings start to even out. For instance, I had plenty (around 20) of my top 50 guys like with my pick at 70, but now we are in the 110's and that gap is closing very quickly. I currently have about 7 players that by my ranks are "falling", and it's not even that far. I think that means that the talent pool might be thinning.

I want to know how BWW keeps getting a hold of my list.

What is especially scary is it's not even written down. I think if he wins he shares the championship with me.
