Yanks (77-59) @ B.O's (76-60): Man Up!

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Thu Sep 6, 2012 12:57 pm

Dedicated to all the peeps stupid enough to think the Giants were going to beat the Cowboys week 1 then curse and get angry over nothing.

I love it, whenever the Yankees struggle. It puts every one's fan membership card to the test. September is the most telling month. It will feature the character of a team.

Yanks have it in them to put these young pups away...against their old coach Buck. Will they or won't they will depend on how much they can dig down.

One thing is abundantly clear, I can't see this team going far in the playoffs, let alone the World Series.

GM Brian Cashman still can't draft a pitcher, trade for one, or even sign one without a can't miss like CC that he has to blow him away with money. and THAT'S why the Yanks will never stop paying Luxury tax long after A-rod, Tex, Jeter, Mo are gone...

Carl Pavano, AJ Burnett are prime examples that Brian doesn't understand how hard it is to pitch in NYC. This is an intense atmosphere. You need a guy who has ice water veins.

Tonight we find out what this team is made of...led by the 38 year old Captain that Hank, Randy Levine, Brian Cashman, and Yankee fans threw under the bus.

Yet, Derek Jeter is still playing, not throwing any venom at the brass, and doing his thing.

DAMMIT! After fighting to tie the game at 6-6, Jones tips the scales back in B.O's favor. Yanks gotta pull this one out in the 9th...

10-6 O''s...Robertson, whom I still say was never right after DL...and now, Boone Logan. Hope you're watching Cashman.

This Baltimore team is not very good. The Yankees are just playing like utter **** right now. This team probably wasn't winning anything this year, but still, what a horrific collapse.

It's NOT embarrassing. It's reality. Remember at the beginning of the season, someone was mocking the O's offense and I said do NOT underestimate that line up because they can pile on big numbers. And guess what they have proven they can...when properly motivated.

Now, let's go with the O's aren't very good...well if that's true then the Yanks are atrocious. No Pettitte, No Nova, no Mo, no pitching depth at all.

And with CC struggling...we're in a heap of crap.

Wondering if Lowe should have replaced Phelps.

ALRIGHT! Russell Martin is alive. Yanks up 5-0 but don't get TOO excited. Hughes has over 50 pitches in just 3 innings.

Wonder what Cash is going to do with Hughes and Joba both FAs soon right? Who else is Cash going to tap? Yanks are tightening their belt. NO ONE in the Minors is ready for a full season. Pettitte, Garcia are up.

Is Kuroda a FA after this season?

Yanks got some real issues...

Hell YES! Homer by A-rod makes it 7-0. Keep pouring it on fellas because this O's team never quits. Gotta send a message. Hopefully Tex is good enough to go over weekend. Another big bat.

Yanks gotta be who they are...This IS NEw York!

Adam Jones hits a 3 run homer. Hmm...didn't SOMEONE laugh at the O's offense before the season began? Not laughing now. 7-3 Yanks in the 7th. Hughes at 93 pitches, remember pen emptied yesterday. Who's the 8th?

Andino hits a homer off Eppley 7-4 Yanks.

WHO said the O's offense was laughable again? Those guys are homers or strikeouts but come inside or leave it over the plate, it's GONE.

Boon Logan is BACK in...Remember yesterday's performance from Logan?

Yanks emptied the pen yesterday so the 7th and 8th will be a challenge.

Again, LOOKING at YOU Cashman...this is what happens when you go with "bargains" and hope overrated prospects like Hughes and Nova can step up.

At this stage, Kuroda and CC are #2s and rest of the rotation is #4s and #5s.

You can NEVER have enough Starting pitching.

Eppley to Logan to Robertson...and now to Soriano. Geezus, you KNOW its bad when the Yanks gotta go this far to get through 2 innings.

Nobody can pitch on this team. The names that are beating them on nightly basis...it's just sad.
