I'm sure this has been asked before, but I just want to be sure... Seattle just approved financing on a new arena... if Seattle gets a team again (let's say soon), do they retain the Supersonics "history" or does it stay with OKC? I would assume the team's name would be the Supersonics again if they did get another team.

Seattle should retain everything, banners, records, history etc
It happened when the browns went to the Baltimore ravens, 2-3 years later Cleveland regained the browns and rejoined the league, their history is still up throughout the stadium and in the archives, should be similar assuming they retain the supersonics name, different name should be different history, Houston oilers and Houston texans

Pretty sure

Brian K. Schmitz ‏@MagicInsider
Magic set to hold free, open-to-the-public scrimmage Oct. 29 -- after concluding 8-gm preseason.

Too bad it's on a weekday :(

okay that's good, thanks for clearing that up... i hope they get a team again... one of my favorite teams to watch growing up were the Sonics... i hope they keep the history, as they should.

Yea I liked the sonics, If they get a team again you can pretty much assume it will be the same, supersonics, colors, logo, etc.. The city wants that too
