Re: Question for Lakers fans
While the heat have incredible shooters, I'm more concerned about OKC and how our line up can sustain the young legs. I remember them erasing 12-15 point leads we had in a few minutes during transition

Re: Question for Lakers fans
The OP's lineup would be a matchup problem for LA ... not sure why that is so hard to admit.
LBJ is more apt to guard Gasol effectively than Gasol is to guard James effectively ... simple as that.
Gasol "could" have an advantage down low against James, but, even with Nash, and with an already crowded paint, it is difficult to envision Gasol getting the consistent touches down low to get the real opportunity to take advantage ... with Howard in tow as "the future" down low and the long shadow cast by the defensive reputation of LBJ, I am alone as the sole Laker fan who thinks the OP's lineup, in the critical moments of a third or fourth quarter playoff game, would be cause for a substitution.

Re: Question for Lakers fans
If we isolate Gasol with Lebron on him, Bron would be in foul trouble within 3 or 4 possessions. However the refs would let him use his elbow, arm and even his dick to push Pau out of the post and everyone will be like Bron is the DPOY.
TBF Gasol on Allen wouldn't be an issue either if he takes Pau off the dribble he still has to finish over Howard and Pau is quick enough to contest the jumper. If Allen tries to make plays off the dribble with Lebron and Wade on the floor, that is all we can ask for.

If that's the case, Lakers can switch it up. Put Metta on Lebron and go small. Bring in another shooter like Meeks.

Re: Question for Lakers fans
LeBron is going to torch just about anyone in the league 1:1... You don't beat him with single coverage...
In order to beat Miami, or OKC, our TEAM D is going to have to be damn good... We're going to have to be backing everyone up and covering each others' weaknesses.
Sure we can try to match up Pau on LeBron but LeBron is likely going to get around him with ease... Thankfully, we have MWP and Dwight to help.
On the other end, we can say LeBron has to guard Pau, but that doesn't mean he'll stay on Pau... And TBH LeBron is exactly the type of player Pau has trouble with... He's smaller but strong and physical... Pau can shoot over him if he has position, but he might have trouble getting position on him... But who cares? We have Kobe, Howard and Nash to carry the scoring load.... And Nash is going to make it way easier for Pau to get position without the ball...
Point is, LeBron has an advantage on every player and every team in the league... But it ain't 1:1 ball... It's a team game.

I don't see why Pau would be on Lebron, MWP on lebron, Kobe on Wade, Dwight on Bosh, meeks on Allen and Nash on Chalmers.....If Miami are going small like that and we can't defend them then we will go small too.....

Because MWP can't guard LeBron... Not even as good as Pau can guard him... Only way that might not be true is if MWP really did pick up a ton of lateral quickness from working out and losing weight this off season...
But MWP can pretty much lock down Allen... I think Meeks could too... And I think Ebanks might have more success against LeBron...
But LeBron is going to get his against any team in the league... He just that good right now.
He's too strong and fast for Durant... About the only person in the league who might have a shot at containing him is Melo... Contain... Not stop.

PG - Mario Chalmers
SG - Dwyane Wade
SF - Ray Allen
PF - Lebron James
C - Chris Bosh
Who defends Lebron James?
Surely not Howard as LBJ will draw him away from the hoop. Would it be Gasol?
oh, you havent heard? We got the Lebron stopper. Add KD stopper as well. We in it to break up the party, and save the country from the appearant man crush KD has on bron and the "make me barf" BROmance these 2 got goin. Nobody in the country wants to see that one again...
