I think the problem stems from an insecurity that shouldn't be there in the first place. We win a LOT, the times we don't you just want to act like nothing was wrong? Thank God you don't run the Lakers.
Another thing that irks me is this whole coming to Kobe defense in an irrational manner. When he shoots 3/20, you think he doesn't know he's sucking? You think Kobe would want you to prop him up after a 43% shooting year?
Listen, if you believe in your heart of hearts that we can get Lebron (for example), regardless of end result, it is going to be a homer opinion because it is simply unlikely. If it happens, do you think the naysayers who happen to be Laker fans will be discontent? Of course not, they would be jubilant. Just because they disagree with your initial assertions that happen to benefit the Lakers, which are made in the face of all existing evidence, doesn't mean they wouldn't celebrate and feel happy about it.
The naysayer has no right to be happy when we got Howard and Nash if they had been cowering scared in the corner when real Lakers fans were busy arguing with everyone how the acquisition were plausible.
The same thrashes also has no right to be celebrating the '09 and '10 championships when they didn't say anything when other fanbases claim that the Pau Gasol trade was the most lopsided in NBA history.
It's a freaking disgrace coming from Lakers fans in Real GM when they prefer to focus on Kobe's FG% in a compressed season rather than the 5 ring he had won for this franchise. An absolute friggin disgrace.
Everyone is so scared at being labelled a homer, like it's actually a bad thing. We're fans and fans are supposed to be PASSIONATE about our team especially its' leader who have gone through hell and back to bring us 5 championships. Where is the passion? And yes, let me say it, where the hell is the homerism?
I am a Lakers homer and I'm god damn proud of it.
