Nets tickets

Post#1 » by Jeffe » Tue Sep 11, 2012 10:17 pm

I'm from Europe and I'm planning a visit to New York around the time the LA Lakers come to Brooklyn. I'm looking around the internet for tickets first, because we come around that time specially to see the Lakers.

If I check sites like Ticketsnow.com, I see those tickets are sold by other people and not by a company or something. Does anyone has had an experience with that site or can you recommend another way/website to order tickets?
It's not very clear to me how it works. Some people sell tickets and will e-mail them. Is it safe or can someone with bad intentions mail the same tickets to more people?

There are enough sites who order tickets for that specific game, allthough I thought the game would be sold out in a minute..

Any help, suggestions, ...? Thanks!

Single game tickets go on sale September 24th if I'm not mistaken.

As for now I would imagine you're buying someone's season tickets, probably a broker who got a ton of seats at the season ticket holder discount and then to sell them above face, but it is what it is.

Stubhub is a great place to get tickets, any small problems I've ever had they've gone out of their way to correct.

I used BigStub once, they were good as well.

Personally, I have no experience with TicketsNow, in fact I had never heard of them so I'm sorry, can't help with that one.

If I was you I'd call the Nets ticket office directly and explain your situation, just tell them you're going to see the Nets, not that you're a Lakers fan.

The only way to buy the tickets are from season ticket holders. I actually have season tickets for the Knicks and the nets. My nets tickets are lower corner section 12, row 16 behind the visitor bench. If you are looking to buy tickets you can email me at rotemc20@yahoo.com. I've sold many tickets through stubhub and that is the best way to buy tickets unfortunately unless you know a season ticket holder. Keep in mind that the lakers game sells for significantly over face value.

Thanks for the info, I'm checking out Stubhub and Bigstub right now.

A lot of times when your looking at specific tickets, there's a line like "Tickets will ship by Feb 01". Are the tickets really sent so late? If they arrive in Belgium when I'm allready on my way to the US I have a problem :)

If you buy electronic tickets off of stubhub, the seller uploads a PDF file version of the tickets and you can download them from anywhere, print them, and go to the game. Make sure you do not buy a ticket that says FedEx then. Anyhow, you can buy them from me and I can e-mail them to you :)

Yeah for the Lakers game it is. But if you wanted to go to a normal game, it's not so bad.

One more question? :)

you upload a pdf which the buyer can download. How can the buyer be sure he's the only one who downloaded the ticket? It's just a pdf and isn't it possible more then one person 'bought' it? If the seller has bad intentions for example?

StubHub protects against stuff like this although I imagine it can still somehow happen due to a glitch.

Allright, I finally bought my tickets for the Nets-Lakers game.
I'm sitting in section 1 and I'm hoping the view will be OK, but I'm guessing it'll be just fine.
