and bt, it depends how much stuff you have on your iphone now. it's going to be pretty frustrating when you lose mostly everything (app wise) just to switch to android.

nothing really groundbreaking about the phone or iOS, just incremental hardware upgrades like the chip.

just my take from everything out so far: if you have a 4 or 4s then just download iOS 6 and keep your money. if you're looking for a new phone and can to learn get over the learning curve of android or just aren't accustomed to iOS then i'd probably go with S3.

I've fooled around with a friends s3, but I don't know what rooted is. Is that the equivalent of jailbreaking?

Yeah, I have snes/genesis emulator on my iphone. Since i got it i basically stopped playing the iphone exclusive games (except the cool logic/physics/puzzle based games). So i think i would be satisfied with the s3. Need more research and hands on experience to really make a decision though.

yea, rooting to android is jailbreaking to iphone.

Just to clarify, that means I can download exclusive apps for free, right?

well i mean, anytime you do that it just makes it so your phone can download 3rd party apps and virtually anything. so in theory you can put anything on your phone if you know how and if it has the capabilities.
