aka the typical response from dummys who don't know how to research for a phone. Good job Ty, that s3 is a beast.

And rooting an Android phone is basically for custom roms, modifications, enhancing alot of things. You can sideload apps from the web already when you're unrooted and stock.

I logged back in specifically to reply to this after I said I was done on the comp for the day. You need to chill out, it's not even that srs. Especially when nothing he said was false. iOS is known for being simpler by everyone that uses it, it's also more stable. The Android interface really only caters to tech heads and is known for becoming unresponsive, laggy, and in need of a restarts of the phone. Let us not act like the S3 is the greatest headset ever released and the Android interface is the best thing since sliced bread. Especially when the Galaxy Note 2 comes out next month which is bigger and will do everything better than the S3 because of the jellybean interface. Once that phone comes out the S3's interface will be outdated and TyCobb will be left with an outdated OS a month after just buying a new phone and will have to wait until 2013 when the jellybean is made ready for the S3.

Buying a new phone just for it to be essentially upgraded a month after you bought the phone, even though your phone is still supported is enough to piss any customer off and that's the problem with android. Whenever you get ready to buy a new phone they release a superior interface a few months after and take their sweet ass time developing that interface for the phone you just bought that by the time you get the new interface they're already prepping a newer interface for a newer phone.

But if you really want to talk about a powerhouse phone, we can. The Lumia 920 will more than likely obliterate every single phone (iphone 5, s3, galaxy note 2, anything else you want to name) when it comes out in November.

I didn't read all of this but I agree with the first and last things he said. GET **** ON LALA!

Samsung has some cool rip offs of a touchscreen iMac for Windows 8. Haven't read the specs, pricing or used one, but I saw one and it looked cool.

Exactly, don't know why the **** you made a whole essay about this ****.

Really dude? Laggy? This is where I have a problem with people dishing out misleading points where its blatantly false. Android used to be laggy but that was freaking 2 years ago. JB is as close to iOS if not faster.

And the iPhone 4S was outdated 6 months later, your point?

Yeah, Windows Phone 8 looks really nice, but its way too boring for my taste (not enough features to differentiate from iOS or Android). Dude, your the one whos taking this **** way too seriously, calm down!

How about the response times of the phone once windows starts releasing updates and patches?

Iphone is well vetted prior to release, the OS upgrades and patches are virtually rare and the app store still blows everything else out of the water. My Iphone 4 functions just like it was when I bought it, which makes me feel good about the reliability especially on the phone that I use 24/7.

There's a reason people came away from the Lumia presentation very pleased and liked WP8 a whole hell of a lot more than the iOS. But as far as the OS of Windows 8, it's not even out yet and won't come out until October 26th to tablets and of course when the phone comes out in November. I don't think it's wise to just assume that those bugs will be apart of WP8 but if they are I suppose you have to take bad along with the good as long as the good outweighs the bad, and WP8 is shaping up to be better than iOS. But who knows, maybe they've found a way to improve functionality, WP8 seems like a total revamp when compared to WP7.5. Unlike the iOS6 which only has a few more features than iOS5.

And yeah like I said on a later page, if you got a 4 or 4S there's no need to buy the new phone. But Apple hasn't created anything innovative in quite a while and is always looking to steal designs/parts of interfaces and sue other companies when they feel it's had something stolen from them. People having to pay full price for a phone that's been half-assed compared to other phones that are/will be on the market later this year isn't smart. And Apple is constantly behind the 8 ball and today it showed. This phone is not going to do as well as forecasted and OS6 can't save it.

TBF I'm looking forward to the Nokia as well and just looking at the specs it looked like the best smartphone to me but I will remain skeptical on the windows OS since its burned me a whole lot on the desktop versions.

Also Nokia is known to price as high as Apple if not more.

if presenting facts in concise paragraphs instead of one lined biased views is taking things seriously, well then consider this srs bizness. other than that i'm fine, i'm not the one name calling. i'm trying to help a friend out who's looking on buying a phone buy one that's the best for him and tell him the pros and cons of each one. every single thing you've posted so far about a phone has been highly in favor of the s3/android and nothing else. and not even telling him that a piece of technology is coming out next month that does everything the s3 does except better in hopes that he may decide to save his money.

anyway tycobb, it's up to you man. the s3 is definitely not a bad choice, especially if you're getting it on sale. just know that you'll feel a little bit cheated out of your money when the galaxy note 2 comes out next month.

Yeah, and it's only available in one model. If they can make the price around the $299 threshold like all the other 32GB phones then it's definitely a phone that has more bang for the buck.

lol calm down there buddy. The Apple iPhone 5 is most likely going to be a beast in itself. Its finally going to be 4 inches which is ideally perfect for the average joe. I just hate iOS itself, its way too boring (IN MY OPINION lol). The S3 or Note II (which is what I'm waiting for atm) are going to be the same phone (specs aside, I doubt you'll see a difference aside from the obvious 5.5 inch screen). And what phone is going to top the S3 anytime soon? Its already smooth enough, its going to be future proof for a long long time.

lol i'm calm brah, but if it's one thing i can't stand it's people talking on subjects and acting as if they're completely in the know and then getting upset and calling people names when people say something that may be negative but true about a product and just because that person is a diehard for that company they'll down talk any other product and make up stuff that suits them. Especially when it comes to other people's money who many not be as literate when it comes to crap like this. And no offense, but the latest example is your post on the last page. The S3 doesn't even run Jellybean, it runs Ice Cream Sandwich which is known for being temperamental ever since it was originally made. No one with an S3 can tell you it has never lagged or been unresponsive, and if they are they're lying. To totally act like that doesn't happen is misleading all in itself.

The Galaxy Note 2 will top the S3 when it comes out next month, it just won't sell as much because the phone is too damn big. And if soon is like 2 months, then the Lumia like I stated.

iphone was projected to be the biggest selling phone of all time. if it was beast it would still project to do that, take a look around people are going android and people who were looking forward to the phone (me) are disappointed.

Its still going to sell like crazy. And to be honest, its a really really good looking phone, probably the best design I've seen ever. I really want that Note 2 though, sold my Note 1 a month b4 to gear up for it.

it'll still sell, but not like projected. not after today. it's definitely the best looking phone to come out though, iphones always are though. i dunno about the note 2, unless you just have really big hands and pockets to put it in idk how well it's going to sell. if someone hipster were to buy it he'd have to change his whole wardrobe because idk how that phone is going to fit in a pocket of skinny jeans.

anyway that's all i wanted to say man, if you're going to tell the story then go ahead and tell the whole story instead of leaving some info out. and cut it with the biased view too, especially when talking to people who may not be experienced with smartphones and how boring the iOS may be or how android likes to make a new phone+OS to replace the phone you just bought like every 4 months. i got some work to do, later.

The Note was easy to pocket, even in jeans. The Note 2 is slimmer so it should be fine. peace jetty
