Zeller
Between what this guy did in college and in the summer league I think you may have one of the steals of the draft.
His Player efficiency rating was nearly 30.0 in college which is crazy. If you look at players like Faried, Lillard, and Cousins who had high PER's 30+ in college I think it translates pretty well to solid players. Also looking at what he did in the Summer League he was very highly productive in his time on the court and it looks like he could be in line for good minutes this year. Anyone thinking he might be a sleeper choice for Rookie of the Year? I kind of think so, big men that wait 4 years to come out usually step into the NBA pretty ready to roll.
I also think you guys got a steal off the wavier wire with Leuer.

Re: Zeller
I ultimately think that Zeller may never be a true star in this league, but that he could put up an impact on par with a healthy Ilgauskas for a long time. That, is a huge compliment to the man. He's definitely a GREAT pick, especially where he was pulled.

That's not a bad return for the 17th pick. Luckily, he doesn't have to be a star.

The real heist will be having his brother Cody hold out next year and demanding to play with his older brother.

Byron doesn't start rookies, unless they earn it. So i think zeller will back up AV for a while.

Zeller would seem to be a better fit with Thompson, but I think you are right about Andy and TT starting. Looking forward to seeing what Kevin Jones is able to do when camp finally opens too.

Re: Zeller
Zeller will be better than Valanciunas IMO. They have similarities except for the fact that Valanciunas is a few inches longer and Zeller is MUCH more intelligent and skilled. It's a classic draft mistake to overvalue the former and undervalue the latter. Just watch, the TT over Valanciunas flak you guys took is going to be turned on its head when Zeller is better than him

The amount of hype surrounding Big V is ridiculous. I don't know if Zeller will necessarily be better than him, but they will most certainly be comparable.

Re: Zeller
Who are you?
Valanciunas has been hyped to attempt to make Cavs look bad as well as the fact that he's on those Raps who's fans are infamous for overhyping their picks.

It would be nice if we can refrain from all the Jonas talks and comparisons before a certain fan base will come and derail this topic.

Mafusa is part of them, yet they hate him because he has his own opinion.

We dont hate Mufasa. But how you feel about people with groundless hate? There is a difference between that and opinion. I understand people who thinks Valanciunas is nothing special, and use actual arguments to prove it. But in Mufasas case, basically everything he ever said about Jonas, are pure lies. He brought it on himself, no one cant take him seriously for this very reason.

There is definitely irony with this statement from reading this forum (see fart's opinions).

I love Zeller. Great pickup and playing with Kyrie is the best situation for him.

I'll let you in on how it works on this board, If you blindly agree with every single move the Cleveland FO makes, then you are a great poster and a basketball scholar. If you disagree with some eyebrow raising decisions the Cleveland FO makes, then you must obviously be an idiot and troll who has never watched basketball in his life.

So you think you've done nothing to deserve any ridicule? Do you remember the topics you started on the General Board?

Do you really know of anyone that has agreed with every move the Cleveland FO has made? C'mon the Waiters thread on here has a question mark because it was viewed as an odd pick.
