Ira tweeted that Allen, Miller, JJ, and Lewis are having a 3 point shooting contest. :)

Also, Ethan tweeted that he also thinks that Lewis will be the starting PF.

people are letting Pittman hate cloud their mind because they saw him play.

Dude was worse on the Kings than Pitt was for us...how is that an upgrade?

For those curious with so many already working at the arena, Wade's book tour takes a one-week break after Friday.
In addition to Jones, Miller, Lewis and Allen, Heat says Haslem and Anthony also showed for work today.

Sometime next week, someone needs to make a media day or training camp thread...or both. The hype is building. Dolphins and Gators sucking this season have got all my attention focused on the Heat. PEACE.

Something people should have known since the Finals if they'd been paying attention...

Chris Bosh willing to play center

By Justin Verrier | ESPN.com
September 13, 2012, 8:41 PM ET

LOS ANGELES -- When Chris Bosh joined the Miami Heat in the summer of 2010, he told himself his days of playing center were finished. But after manning the 5 often in the Heat's run to the title last season, Bosh is willing to reconsider.

When Miami opens the 2012-13 season against the Boston Celtics on Oct. 30, Bosh said he expects to be listed as the starting center.

"It's becoming natural to me," Bosh told ESPN.com on Thursday. "I have a very unique opportunity to do something very special for myself and my team. I think all the time that you have to evolve and get better. This is me evolving as a player..."

Ugh, next season can't get here soon enough. Even a championship season can't take an unlimited number of re-runs. So happy to have Bosh. He's always committed to do what's best for the team. Almost gives me a bad conscious about questioning him some when he got here. Would be fantastic if he could continue to work on the trailing 3-ball that Spo had him shooting at the start of last season. If he's Guarded by Cs and can knock that down on a decent percentage the initial spacing in the half-court offense would be too good. Probably a day dream tho.

My two cents on the last roster-spots:

13. Pittman - Will probably keep the spot but what does he do well? He's below average in about every category: rebounding, finishing around the rim, defending, setting screens. Hopefully someone can emerge at the camp that makes it worth eating his contract. With that said, it's not like the competition consists of a bunch of prodigies.

14. Harrellson - Decent floor-spacer and a better rebounder then big-Pitt. Should have some appealing competence that the training staff can find use of.

15. Harris - In case Chalmers or Cole goes down, Harris can bring the ball up the court and camp out in the corner. Familiar with the players and should know what the team runs. Somewhat pesky defender.

If it comes down to Harrellson or Pittman, telling you Harrellson is going to win that easily. Pittman is garbage.

Yeah, no doubt about it. Comparatively Jorts should be functional in the Heat offense when given minutes. Can't really estimate how his defense would look tho.

Pretty steep improvement over Pittmans rebounding rate and that 5.0 blocks per 36 is just monstrous. Maybe Pittman has his work cut out for him keeping that big body center-spot after all. His foot-speed, IQ and free-throw shooting does leave a bad aftertaste however.
