I have been the biggest Ricky Romero supporter over his time in Toronto. I even went as far as to say he was more important than Jose Bautista and would end up being our franchise player. I still cannot believe he's fallen off a cliff like this. Has anyone fallen off this badly and recovered? I mean, I know a couple guys like Hentgen and Doc had rough years, but it was nothing like this. How many people feel he's finished versus how many believe he'll be back to his old ways next year? I think most people thought at first the latter, but it's starting to look like this could actually be the end for him or at best the beginning of a decline into mediocrity.

hah, had a post written up just like this. you forgot to mention his brutal misread in deep left being the only reason the game was tied in the first place. people give escobar unwarranted flack for seeming like his head isn't in the game, but boy oh boy does davis take the cake in this regard.

130 at bats or 45 days on the 25 man roster ( not including September )

Both are probably going to exceed the number of at bats, but at the same time, neither would be likely to have the kind of impact next year where they`d even be in the conversation for rookie of the year.

I`d rather see them get regular playing time this month instead of this platoon scenario which has Rajai playing every day.
