Julien De Guzman...no idea what happened to this guy. Puts himself into danger by trying to "shake off" every defender and ends up going backwards most of the time.

I can't watch this team play in Central America...it's an embarrassment. That combined with the time-wasting and embellishing of injuries makes me crazy.

Man, Cuba is absolutely garbage too. Watching Cuba play makes me want to puke. What a bunch of scrubs.

I really don't think they know any other way to play. It's just written in their DNA to time-waste in these situations. Even the goalie is finding ways to time waste with an apparent knee injury....

Mexico thru to the Hexagonal! Chicharito looked a lot better tonight that he did Friday, but ill keep saying that this squad really needs Giovani Dos Santos to play at the same level they did during the Gold Cup. Can't wait to have him back. I think Mexico will take a B squad to the last two games vs El Salvador and Guyana. They could call up a team full of guys in Liga MX and maybe take J.Dos Santos. Hell, take the Olympic team!

It would be nice to somehow get a goal.

Goal differential is something that it could all come down to. I also think the tie at home to Honduras may come back to haunt us.

If you can't get a point anywhere but Cuba then you need to win all your home games. The 0-0 at home to Honduras was effectively the nail in the coffin. Yes there are more games to play but this team clearly can't get any results outside of Canada.

Ricketts has to score that. Man, this team is wasteful.

Maybe the fans outside of the hotel really got to the guys?

Hard to play on no sleep.

i really hope not. youve got to be more professional than that.

This team has nothing in midfield. They can't build plays up and press forward unless it's a through ball that manages to get through, or on a counter attack.

Colombia has a great, great team.
Falcao is obviously the star, but James Rodriguez is becoming a monster! Another great game

Yes, James is our most important player, even more important than Falcao. I can't wait to see James grow as a player. Colombia has a great deal of talent in the midfield and upfront, but we are 2 good/great center defenders away from being able to compete with the big boys. We have quality players in every position except our starting center defenders which is a huge weakness.

that pretty much sums about the team. we got players like hoillet and de guzman that play in the premier league that won't play for us. how do we expect to compete?

de guzman doesnt play in the epl. and while i think hoillet would make a tonne of difference in, yknow actually being able to score, our roster is already filled with better individual talent than the other teams in our group, and most teams in concacaf, so thats not necessarily the problem

When he finally realizes he'll never make the Dutch team, he'll come back to Canada. I'm hoping it's in time for 2018 qualification because with DeRo out, this team stands no chance of getting anything out of the Honduras game. Hell, they might even drop points at home to Cuba...

There is nothing that irritates me more than players who do not play for their country. Truly pathetic

The kid was unreal at a young age. I grew up playing against him when he played for a team called the North Scarborough Bulls (Scarborough is a part of Toronto). I played against him from the age of 10-12 while he was 2 years younger than us. Every single game he just destroyed us. He was the smallest player on the field (besides myself) and would score a couple of times every game if not more. Then after that year I never saw him again. Took me until many years later, when I realized he was sent to Holland to play in the Feyenoord youth system. He started his first professional game at 19 and for a short time was pegged for a transfer to a massive club like Chelsea and United. He had huge ambitions, and because he spent his formative years in Holland, he said he felt Dutch. He was also being pegged as a starting midfielder for Holland. That or play for Canada...many people would do what he did (just like Hargreaves did).

Then, I have no idea what happened, but he fell out of favour in the race to crack into the Dutch National team and ended up transferring to Villareal. Played Champs League that year with Villarreal, but they lost all 6 games that year and were relegated. So, now he's on loan at Swansea and looks like he'll be pretty much like his brother Julien - a good player who never really cracks the top level. Hopefully he comes back and plays for us because we need him badly.
