I nearly took mullens a few times but his fg% was a major liability

So, obviously when the site goes down today for maintenance, the downtime will not count against whoever is up to pick at that particular time. Does that make sense?

I am quite happy with Ben Gordon pick here. If he feels comfortable he can easily average 18-20 ppg this season. The Bobcats need someone who can hit 3-pointers and create his own shoots, so it could be a very good match for both parties. And even if he fails and repeats the last season, at 177, it's pretty acceptable.

My roster so far:

PG - Ricky Rubio
SG - Dwyane Wade
G - Ben Gordon
G - Kirk Hinrich
SF - Evan Turner
PF - JJ Hickson
F -
F -
C - Serge Ibaka
C - Javale McGee

Trade offers including players and/or picks are welcome.

If someone can email me when it is my turn and include the last three picked players in the email, I can e-mail them back my pick at 183

I like the Marshon pick here. I think he may be much more valuable heading up the 2nd unit than starting, and he's going to get better.

I'm surprised Green and Seraphin fell as far as they did. Are they going to be losing playing time?

Yeah, the Wizards just traded for Okafor and they have other young bigs who will demand playing time, in addition to a healthy Nene. I wouldn't be surprised if he couldn't repeat the 20 mpg from last year.

I was going to take Green @ 170 if I hadn't traded the pick.

Had Green and Seraphin among my next choices. Actually was about to take Seraphin with my last pick but came down with a case of wb-itis and went with the rookie. :D

My team

PG Lillard
SG Wesley M
G Hedo
G Brandon Knight
SF LBJames
PF Bass
F marvin williams
F James Johnson
C Dalembert
C Duncan
B
B
B
B

My pick 220 242 260 261 ( have a 30man list and i know i will get 4 out of this 30 ahahah @ least hope to get 1 lol )

My trades
1) jfrost trades Lebron, Lillard, Dalembert, James Johnson, 242 to Fran for Kobe, Cousins, Bismack Biyombo ( traded) , Derrick Williams, 221 looking back i would do it again without blinking

2) I trade : Collison+ Marsh brooks
Frost trades : bass + marvin williams
again i m happy to lose collison - marvin is a sf/pf and make almost the same number of 3pts than him same goess to stl and so on

Thoughts on my team

I think when you rely on value picks you are consistantly good, but, never great. You never get that lightning in a bottle that is needed in a league like this to push you over the top. 3 of your last 4 picks will likely be trash, but, that's ok because you will just stream the hell out of your last 2-3 roster spots anyway.

All in all, a recipe to good, but not great.

If Lillard is that lightning in a bottle you might just have a top team though.

I like the Ayon pick. He stepped up big last season when he became a starter.

Anyone planning on doing write-ups this year?

Same thing I said last year. Lots of parity. I haven't seen many guys go earlier than I would expect, a few, but not many.

I think it's gonna come down to strategy, health, and having a guy or two exceed expectations.

I can't comment on health or who will exceed expectations much. So, right now I could only comment on strategy. And since I'm too lazy to put all the teams into basketballmonster I don't know who's got the best 5 cat strategy going now and who's living in a roto world.

Without even looking I'd guess Gokce is near the top of the list though. Guy is a master of trades and a very good strategist to boot. Never, ever, buy a used car from Gokce.

I'm just trying to make the playoffs this year. Last season the lockout really screwed with me. This year I got to see SL games and do some mock drafting. FFDL proved to me that if I just make the playoffs anything can happen, so I'll try that and worry about the "lightning in a bottle" thing next year.

I don't know who's got the best 5 cat strategy going now and who's living in a roto world.

I'm living in a roto world, somewhat. But at least it's intentional. We'll see how it works out. It was partly dictated by my first two picks, and partly by my overall approach this season.

What the heck, I'll do write-ups. This year is really intriguing to me.
Can somebody update the teams on the first page?
