week 2 vikings at colts

Post#1 » by hermes » Tue Sep 11, 2012 6:27 pm

vikings 1-0 at colts 0-1

they got luck, but i don't know if they improved much at other places on their team- lost to the bears by 20 last week- should be pretty interesting but winnable if we play well

for us, establish the run with ap and toby, GET PERCY HARVIN INVOLVED EARLY AND OFTEN, and then my boy rudolph

GO VIKINGS

Should be a win. Hopefully the defense takes a step forward.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Too many dumb penalties and the two minute defense is atrocious.

Wow ... apparently the Colts have an awesome pass defense. This offene has NO confidence to pass outside of 15 yards ... no matter how you slice it, its a very low risk and predictable team. Seriously - I know when we will run and what side ... wife can't stand it and wont watch anymore because I'm ann ass about it. Imagine the real coaches on the other teams?

There are no excuses for our inability to perform better against mediocre teams other than our own gameplan. I still think Leslie is in over his head - nothing personal, but he appears to be just a nice guy with merely average coaching and leadership skills. Its all uphill for here out, but another high pick should get us a receiver that may interest Ponder enough for him to thow the ball up field.

there were a ton of penalties on us, yeesh

kyle rudolph

defense was ok, except for the two minutes drills. and in the middle of the 4th quarter the announcers were going on and on about how the vikings weren't hurrying up and we killed so much time- just seems like that is another thing on the coaching staff that needs to get the team to have a sense of urgency

i think with a more competent coaching staff this team could make more leaps forward

I wasn't necessarily a fan of the way we handled the clock but it turned out not to be an issue. That touchdown at the end of the half was brutal añd we need to figure out a way to get the ball downfield.
