Turns out my dad was in the same graduating high school class as Mr. Zieman. Said he saw him a few years back at the reunion. Very nice man, he said. Forwarded me over Doug's story which seems to be getting sent around among high school classmates. Kinda cool. Small world, I guess.

I may have missed it but would like to read Doug's story. Link?

Still feel sad about losing George. This is a tight knit community and whether we disagree at times or not, I appreciate the company of numerous on here.

Wasn't there someone else that passed away the last year or so? I think it was Susan. R.I.P, very sad. Hopefully, something in the afterlife is amazing.

Was going back through Facebook stuff just now and found a story from George about how he was able to obtain some free hooker sex for a disabled friend of his. Lad points for that. A man's man.

I normally post on BaB, but have lurked on this site for a LONG time. This guy was a Bulls fan through and through, and always had great insight. All the best to his family and friends. RIP, and thank you for being you.

Very sad news, indeed. The board will never be quite the same without his knowledge and insight.

Ben wrote:...When he changed his username from bulls6 to Tommy Udo, I was really thrown for a loop; I don't deal well with change. I figured that everyone else would be just as confused as I was about where bulls6 had gone. So I suggested that he add a "6" at the end of Tommy Udo for the sake of continuity, and he did...

This subject came up in one of those "Information about posters" threads that occasionally goes around.

I didn't know the character "Tommy Udo" and was surprised to find out that it was Richard Widmark's 1st movie (1947), so I started wondering how old George was.

Then another of those threads came around asking posters to voluntarily reveal their ages. It was then that I discovered that we were nearly the same age, and I sent him a post linking my curiosity back to his name change.

Yes, I'll miss him greatly because one of the things about aging is that you see people who you know and respect that pass on before you do, and it makes you stop and take another look at your life.
Ben wrote:...Did I mention that I don't do well with change? I'm not doing real well with this one...

Yes, this is what I mean. It was very, very hard for me to even get up the energy for this post. But the Tommy Udo story reminded me of my one personal experience with him, and I felt like making the effort to get this done.

Man, I just hate this. Sorry to hear about the loss. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. TU6 was always a kind person on the forum, a mainstay and someone who left a mark with many of us despite not having met him. RIP Tommy, you'll be missed.

RIP Tommy Udo/bulls6

I've lurked on these boards since the beginning (anyone remember SportsTalk or bulls4ever?), under a few other account names that I can no longer remember. Whenever reading through a given thread, I always knew I was about to read a quality post when I saw bulls6/TU6, the master of effective yet efficient writing, as the poster. I'll truly miss his presence on the bulls forum.

I find it strange to find out only now that he went to school only a few blocks from where I grew up. I wish I knew that before.
