Tough stretch of games coming up after the southampton game , montpelllier away followed by chelsea at home then followed by city away. We'll have a great idea of where we stand after those games I think.

The last time Arsenal beat Southampton 6-1 they didn't lose for another 49 games. #justsaying

same , hate to dwell on RVPrick but with him in the side we would have been absolutely lethal. With RVP in this side i'd think we'd have been title contenders and better than a man utd side without RVP. Hell us with RVP added to our side now would have been a better more balanced side then man utd with rvp now.

oh well i"m happy with what we have now and i'm optimistic in what the future holds for our team.

In Arsene We Trust. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like an idiot for doubting him...

i'm still not sold on giroud. at best he had 1/4 chance today, his movement looks good but why does podolski manage to get free so much more often?

yeah same not sold on giroud as well yet , still loads of time for him to make his name but I dont know if starting him on sunday vs city will be a good idea. He's working real hard and got an assist today but I hope he breaks through soon.

You guys want him to start on sunday vs city? I dont even know yet man. Think we should just go with the lineup we played against southampton with diaby and mannone coming in for wojiech and coq. Maybe walcott in for the ox but I think the ox tracks back better and we're gonna need that against city to help jenkinson out on the right flank.

and whatsup with walcott being sorta frozen out of the starting XI and playing short sub minutes, think it has to do with his contract issues?

^^
Walcott is just not good enough...end of..

I wouldnt replace him with Gerv, Ox or Podolski at the moment.
Ofcourse the contract plays a role..but if he was RVP esque..he would start..

As i said in the beginning of the season..Hate RVP more because he could have really been in the front of this charge..but decided to go for the cash..!o well.

Giroud is good. He has a good control and composure, he makes smart decisions and can read the game very well. The move from Ligue 1 to EPL is too hard for a player that is not that fast, it'll take time until he fully adapts to this new tempo. He is just not quick enough to take shots off the dribble and while bothered by defenders, but I guess the goal scoring opportunities will come along as Arsenal's offense gel. I think he'll start scoring big time when Wilshere is back to the starting line up. Arteta, Wilshere and Cazorla are too damn good at creating and passing to Podolski and Giroud not score loads of goals.

I agree, you see moments of why Wenger wants him here. Like the pass to Podolski, wins headers and always in the box and I see doing well.
The annoying thing for me and I said it before the start of the season is, with RVP = challenging for the title, without = challenging for 3rd and 4th. Hope I am proven wrong, but let us see.

Sagna is back in training , frimpong has returned to action , and now wilshere is making a return to action monday night in the reserves game , great times right now.

my preferred lineup vs chelsea

mannone ,Jenks, Verm, Mertesaker, Gibbs , Arteta , Diaby ,Cazorla ,Walcott,Podolski ,Giroud

Koscielny in if Verm isnt 100% fit yet.

dissapointed by todays result let in 2 pretty soft goals , most of the goals we've allowed this year were perventable but we can do better

diaby out for minimum 3 weeks with a thigh strain according to the boss....damn
