Derek Fisher Spotted at Lakers Practice Facility Today

Post#1 » by Al242 » Wed Sep 19, 2012 4:39 am

Could Fisher possibly be making a comeback to the Lakers? Personally I hope not, I appreciate everything he has done for us, but I hope this organization chooses not to go back down that route. Hopefully he is seeking to be an assistant coach with the Team, great locker room presence and he belongs to be in L.A. It was a bit ackward to see him in OKC play against us in the playoffs, would love to see him and Kobe finally get that 6th ring (this time with him on the sidelines though).

I don't mind Fish here in a limited role.....just so he can ride off in that sunset with Kobe. They came together they should go out the same. It's bigger than him just playing fellas, you gotta respect the other stuff that's bigger than the game.

Would be great to see him hit at least ONE more big shot with us, and eventually get his Jersey retired. I feel as if he deserves to be the first Laker to have his jersey retired without actually entering the Hall of Fame.

maybe if someone gets hurt...

Perhaps post all star break, he could have fresh legs playing only half the season, and give the team a boost

michael cooper should be the first non-hof jersey retired. 5x champion...defensive player of the year....5x all defensive first team....lakers all time top 10 in three-point field goals (428), games played (873), total minutes played (23,635), steals (1033), blocked shots (523), assists (3,666), defensive rebounds (2,028), offensive rebounds (741) and free throw percentage (.833).

That's what OKC fans said...Then fisher knocked down a couple of 3 pointers the idiots at the media got crazy, his stupid coach brought the hype and then he was playing 20+ minutes in the **** finals and getting trashed by everyone but his stupid coach wouldn't take him out because of his 'championship experience'.

if he comes back people will say: "oh, better him than blake.." "oh, let's just give him 5-10 minutes" "oh, let's have him for championship experience alone"

then all of sudden fisher buys his spot into the roster and **** it up with his horrible play.

I sense a lot of Fisher hate, however I somewhat agree with what you just said

Would love for Fisher to join as an assistant, but he brings nothing of value as a player anymore.

He could come back as a coach, I wouldn't mind that, I just cant watch every Pg in the league run rings around him anymore, we have Nash for that now  we could do with a decent defensive backup PG.
