'12-'13 Fantasy Season PG Decisions!
Thinking of next season and i'm excited already... Most specifically, what are your thoughts/rankings/predictions on these PGs: Kyrie Irving, Ricky Rubio, Dragic, Lowry, Nash
Most of these PG's are either coming off their rookie seasons or being placed into new situations...
IMO the rankings should be:
Kyrie (20/4/8- 47 FG%- 1.7 3PG)
Rubio
Dragic
Lowry
Nash
Any stat predictions too?

Re: '12-'13 Fantasy Season PG Decisions!
Teague off that list (by a lot actually). Mayo is good, but isn't really interesting as a fantasy player. Teague was a great sleeper pick last year. So was Thomas, but I think the up[side for 5'9 PGs is limited.
Ranking the PGs...
Irving then Lowry and Lawson all in the top 40. After that I'll take Nash because he's steady, and then Dragic. If Dragic were on a better team I might rank him a little higher, but he's not, and Nash could still very easily lead the league in Ast per game.

Damien Lillard's a guy I'm thinking of taking very highly. Think he will be a good one. As for Mayo, I think he could bust out in Dallas. Solid organization, coach, veterans, opportunity to be second option.

Ranking these players depends so much on the format of your league.
Is it H2H? 8 cats? Give us more info if you want a proper analysis.
That being said pretty much all formats should have Kyrie ranked 4th amongst all PG's.
Tier 1 - Chris Paul
Tier 2 - Deron Williams, Russell Westbrook
Tier 3 - Kyrie Irving, Lawson
Tier 4 - Wall, Rondo, Nash, Lowry, Dragic,
Tier 5 - Conley, Jennings, Parker, Rubio, Lillard
That would be my early/summer rankings list
After Irving things get much tougher and it depends on your format/who you drafted in the first round or what team you're trying to build basically.
The all have their flaws. Rubio will give you elite steals and assists, but kill your FG%.
People will sleep on Dragic, but he could be the steal of your draft. I think 16 and 8 with 1.5 STL/3PM and great FT%. I have him ranked ahead of Nash, Rubio, Wall, Rondo as of right now.

1) Kyrie/Lowry
2) Lowry/Kyrie - both guys look like solid second rounders and really are about as close as you can get. They are right there with D-Will who gets overrated in fantasy. Lowry was around the first round turn before he got his infection.
3) Lawson - he's not included above, but other posters have mentioned him, I like him in the early third round
4) Dragic - the Suns will need scoring, which he can provide and his steals and 3s could be near the top for PGs
5) Nash - I see similar numbers to last year
6) Rubio - I don't want to deal with the knee iffiness. His upside is limited due to the FG% anyways.

Mayo
Mayo is waiver wire fodder and a guy I wouldn't pick anywhere. I hate guys without upside. Teague is locked into his starting spot more than Thomas is. It just doesn't seem like SAC is sold on Thomas.

I've definitely been back on the Teague bandwagon since the news came out that Danny Ferry will give him plenty opportunity to succeed.
But, you don't think Mayo could turn it around and be a 20 ppg guy in Dallas as the second option? He's always been like the 5th or 6th option in Memphis and still managed to get 3s, steals, and have some big scoring games, and his passing's not bad either.

Re: '12-'13 Fantasy Season PG Decisions!
Actually good point, I take back the strong negative view on Mayo. I looked at some of his prior year numbers and they're nice. It all comes down to his FG%. It fell off a cliff last year. Still, I'd put him 3rd and wouldn't touch him until the late rounds.
I don't see 20 PPG. That would mean that he has a significantly larger role this year than Terry has had in years' past.

Re: '12-'13 Fantasy Season PG Decisions!
Kyrie (20/4/8- 47 FG%- 1.7 3PG)
Rubio
Dragic
Lowry
Nash
Kyrie is insanely far ahead of the rest of that pack. He's a stud.
Lowry has to be #2 I guess because he's a bit safer, but I don't like how high he's rated in some places (Yahoo has him as a fringe first rounder in their early rankings. Seriously?!?!?). He's far from the only guy that can get you 14-4-7 with 1.5-ish 3's and steals.
I like Dragic, though he's a hair more risky. Here are his numbers as a starter in Houston last year:
49% FG, 84% FT, 1.8 3's, 18 points, 3.5 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 1.8 steals, 3.2 turnovers.
Those are REALLY good numbers. I don't think the move to Phoenix hurts him either. The biggest plus is he's the undisputed starter, that alone makes it a net gain. He's going to have two solid bigs to dish to with Gortat and Scola. They're not great on the perimeter, but Dudley and Frye can hit shots and Beasley has some ability as a scorer. I think he's going to be a steal.
I'm not touching Rubio personally. He was a real drag on your FG% last year, his offensive game needs a ton of work. He's also coming off a major injury now. You really need to build your team around him to compensate for his holes and take advantage of those steal/assist totals.
Not a big fan of Nash at this point, I don't think he'll have a ton of value outside of assists. He's always been a high turnover/no steals guy, and his percentages have become a lot less valuable with his shot attempts declining. Now he's going somewhere where they actually have other scoring options. The only hope is that his 3's spike.

Re: '12-'13 Fantasy Season PG Decisions!
I have Lawson significantly ahead of Lowry and the rest of that list except Irving. Irving is a guy you'll need to blow a first round pick on this year in most leagues, and Lawson should be going in the mid second. Lowry is more like a third round guy (due mostly to the Raps slow pace for my rankings).

I didn't see him on the intial list, so that's why he wasn't on my rant...
He's a really solid all-around player, but not the kind of guy that is going to win categories for you.
For 9-cat, I think I'd rank him 5th at PG (behind Paul, Westbrook, Williams and Irving) and just outside the elite players overall, and his value is a little higher in roto as opposed to H2H.
If it's 8-cat, I think Rondo has a hair more value due to his awesomeness in assists/steals, though you need to draft scorers and FT shooters to compensate while Lawson fits on any kind of roster.

Whod you take: D. Collison or B. Knight?

Depends on your team. Collison if you want more Assists, Knight if you want more 3's and Points.

I'd do it, although you'll lose out on about 4 or 5 Points a game.
