Lebron after 13-14

Post#1 » by Stebo_SSK » Wed Sep 19, 2012 2:10 pm

Im on my TarktheShark is today b/c im bored...

How would LA fans feel if LA renounced the rights to Kobe at contracts end and went after Lebron and attained him? Would you object to this if Kobe express interest in coming back? Or would you roll with the future and take Lebron for who he is. I know there are alot of Lebron haters in Lakerland.

No I think we should keep Kobe as long as we can because with Nash he'll get alot more open shots and I think I heard that he shoots 51% on open shots (he should also stop trying to go 1 on 5 he's to old for that now), I'm expecting Lebron to pick up an injury soon and slow down, nobody can be that big and move that fast and jump that high for that long, Kobe used to be really athletic then he slowed down but he could still shoot, when Lebron slows down I don't think he's going to be very good. When Kobe retires I'm more than happy for this to be Dwights team.

Thats just my opinion though so if you disagree then be nice about it

We are talking 2 full years from now. You really want to look forward to making a run in the 14-15 season with Steve Nash at 41 years of age vs Lebron at 29?

I thought we were talking about Kobe vs Lebron not Nash vs Lebron.....I get kobe will be old but he can still shoot. I just really don't like Lebron as a person, he's obviously a great player, he flops to much and needs to stop traveling but hes good. I'd like to hear how long Kobe wants to keep playing first.....

I've been appreciating Lebron since last year. I do want him to be the face of the Lakers after Kobe retires. Or Howard and Lebron as the face. I do believe Lebron will have a chance to join us.
Kobe is a non-issue I do see him retiring after 13-14 and just join us as a consultant or asst coach.
Kobe Bryant forever
GO LAKERS

I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated Los Angeles LAKERS as NBA Champions in near future. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

I'm getting the feel that a lot of my fellow fans are bigger lovers of Kobe than the franchise itself. Hmmmmmmmm......

We could get Westbrook/Kevin Love/Durant later. I choose them over LeBron

I'll take LeBron of course.. who wouldn't? At that point, Kobe will probably just either sign for the vet min, or sign as a talent scout, be one of the assistant coaches or just retire.

I cant stand LeBron or anyone else not wearing a Laker Uni! With that said if he or any other impact player wanted to suit up in the purple and gold they would instantly become one of my favorites!

You have to be out of your mind if you think Kobe would ever play for a vet minimum...

You'd have to be a Laker hater to not want Dwight howard and Lebron James playing together for the Lakers. Of course, It's understandable if you wouldn't be willing to betray Kobe and Amnesty him to sign Lebron. That makes sense. I personally would prefer they asked Kobe if they can do it and if they two parties don't find a way to work it out to get Lebron here, well I'd have no issue if the Lakers did what it took at that point.

This is never going to happen, but hypothetically, cmon Lebron and Dwight?

EDIT: I'm confused ,doesn't Kobe have two years left on his contract? We wouldn't be able to renounce his contract during 13-14. Only option would be amnesty. If we're talking about Kobe's contract being up and having a chance to sign lebron, NO BRAINER

haha... seriously.

It'll be interesting to see what we do after the '13-14 season. Offering Kobe a huge extension would be stupid and cripple the franchise, so if it were up to me I'd make a hard push for LeBron and ask Kobe to take a massive pay cut for a chance at catching up to and surpassing Bill Russell who he claims he's after, assuming he even wants to return.

A couple of years ago I might have thought twice about this because LeBron really only had one gear (and his play-making was way overrated), but now that he has a well-rounded game he's a devastating player that every team will want to have over anyone else.

I don't see any way we get Lebron.

If we could though, I would let the Lakers do whatever it took to get the greatest player in the game

Lebron will never leave Miami and if he does, it will likely be back to Cleveland to help patch up old wounds.

In a fantasy world were Lebron was suiting up for the Lakers, that wouldn't change my opinion of him. Very much like Dwight. I can't stand those two guys. Howard especially. I would almost rather have Chris Paul with his flopping than Howard and his fake moronic smiling personality.

Your against a hypothetical team of Lebron and Howard (arguably the 2 best players in the game) because of their personalities?!?

Call me crazy but I'm a fan of watching players uhh you know actually play the game. Who the f*** cares about how the act in post-game press conferences?

To add my 2 cents. I personally dont believe Lebron will ever leave Miami. He is the cornerstone of the franchise now and Bosh and Wade are along for the ride for the same amount of time. Just throwing this scenario out there.

People that say they dont want Lebron are the same people that disliked Howard before we acquired him. Not a fan of neither of the guys but 1 is the best player alive and the other is 2nd or 3rd. If you say you wouldnt like that to actually happen then you arent a true fan of your team winning.

I prefer the idea of Lebron and Heat a lot more than Lebron on the Lakers. It gives me something to look forward to when I see Mitch making moves to compete with the Heat and OKC. I love watching players play also but I love competition more. Is that so wrong?

This thread and discussion is dumb, though. Off season material bored fans discuss. But hey, while we're at it anyway, why not plan ahead on how we can get Lebron to recruit fellow Bosh, Wade and those tantalizing Miami cheerleaders.
