Chris Paul and his future

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Wed Sep 19, 2012 8:50 pm

Some Atlanta fans believe we're going to pursue Chris Paul at the end of the upcoming season. Well, he seemed to be content with being a Clipper, and admits that he wanted to be a Clipper over a Laker. Do you believe him?

Staying in LA seems to be the best option for him and it won't help our chances if he actually wanted to be there from the start.

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul, who is featured on the covers of October's GQ, told the magazine he actually preferred being traded to the Clippers rather than the Los Angeles Lakers last year.

"They had the better pieces," Paul said. "And winning with the Clippers would be legendary."

Yeah, but winning HERE would be almost as "legendary" wouldn't folks say?

Yes, leading Atlanta to a title would be legendary, more legendary than leading LA to the title

I do believe, but not for that reason. I just figured he didn't wanna stand around & watch Kobe chuck. At least in Clipper Land he dominates the ball, and does anything he wants.

I'm kinda missing the point.. Was ATL rumored to be getting him or is this just general board talk as well wait another few days before training camp starts?

^It's a combination of him asking us to draft him out of college and us - now - having the money to offer him this offseason.

1 thing to look at about them clippers is the fact the owner didn't want to pay the gm who helped bring chris paul to the clippers. He let him go and hired within. the owner don't like spending money. Its hard to win a championship when the owner only cares about profit. thats why i think Chris future is with another club. But its going to take a lot to get him to jump ship
