Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez IV

Post#1 » by HighFlyer23 » Thu Sep 20, 2012 11:43 pm

Fight was recently announced for 12/8

I really don't care too much about this bout and if Marquez gets robbed again then boxing is really fked up

I'm semi-excited cuz I think they're really gonna go at it and besides Mayweather, I don't really wanna see Pac fight anyone else (rather see JMM 4 instead of a Bradley rematch)

I would think that's the plan for Pacquiao.

LoL....SAS, a Mayweather supporter on if Pacquiao loses to JMM and its effect on a potential Pac/Mayweather: "We might see Floyd and Manny because of that"

So basically, he just admitted that Mayweather does not want to fight a Pacquiao that is at the top of his game, but that he'd jump in when he sees Pac being vulnerable.

we've already seen a vulnerable Pac when he lost to Marquez 3 and had a really boring 2nd half vs Timmeh Bradley

He's referring to Shouting A. Smith of ESPN.

both are not as different as you think

Not much of a chance of reasoning with Speedy...

boxing segments on ESPN really expose how little most of their personalities know about boxing. I still remember when Bayless said Pooch let Marquez tag him in the last fight on purpose so he'd look vulnerable for Mayweather

i can't believe he was making comments that retarded on air (well actually I can lol) ... neither payless nor scream a know anything about boxing ... id say they probably know less than the casual fan ... skip was the same (Please Use More Appropriate Word) who said that Ali would beat Tyson within 3 rounds - thats epic level stupidity ... even the casual fan knows that Ali was not a guy who won with quick, early KOs ... thats what Tyson did and he was the best in boxing history at it

Pac arguably lost all 3 fights with Marquez

This can be the home for tomorrow night's event as the fight will likely have some discussion on this forum. The weights are in from MGM Grand for the PPV card and here they are:

Juan Manuel Marquez 143
Manny Pacquiao 147

Yuriorkis Gamboa 130
Michael Farenas 130

Miguel Vazquez 135
Mercito Gesta 134

Javier Fortuna 126
Patrick Hyland 126

Hoping this one isn't left to the scorecards. A KO would be nice for once. Doubt it will happen though. Another close fight with Marquez winning a decision.

I really don't care at this point. I refuse to buy another Pacquiao or Mayweather PPV until they fight each other.
