OT - Rumored Devices - HTC Nexus 5, Galaxy Nexus 2

Created this thread to discuss new upcoming rumored devices. Will add the Optimus G soon enough, but this thread currently belongs to the new HTC phone rumor.

the Google Nexus 5 will reportedly offer a 1080p display and a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. While not impossible, the former seems rather unlikely, even if it’s not the first time that this rumor comes up. The first Google phablet will reportedly offer a 12MP main camera, teamed up with a 2MP front-facing snapper.

All of this will come in a super slim design and a large, 2,500mAh battery. Internal memory is going to be up to 64GB and there will be LTE connectivity.


So, specs have it listed out as 1080p display, 12 mp camera, quad core snapdragon, and a large battery.

Also a rumor now of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2 coming out. The earlier rumor of 3 Nexus devices being launched appears to carry some weight now. If all things turn out as planned, then we will have the LG Optimus Nexus, The Galaxy nexus 2, and the HTC Nexus 5. Guess we didn't have top wait too long to get the rumor mill churning along.

Recent rumors have pegged the Galaxy Nexus 2 to get upgrades across the board with an improved camera, a bigger battery, double the RAM (2GB), and a faster processor that will either be dual- or quad-core. However, it’s said that the rumored phone will stick with the same 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display as the Galaxy Nexus.

Interesting. Nothing conclusive, but I guess the rumor mill is still wide open. Guess we'll find out more soon enough.

I'm really liking the direction Android is moving in. I love Jellybean on the Nexus 7. I wasn't wowed by the iPhone 5 (though that sh*t is fast as f*ck), I don't think longer by itself is better, the phone needed to be wider too, just a bit.

Android phones for whatever reason seem to think having a mini-TV in your pocket is good business. Why can't someone release a top of the line handset in 4.3-4.5 screen range? Why the f*ck do I have to have the hands of a basketball player to use a cutting edge phone with one hand? Sh*t is (Please Use More Appropriate Word). I hope Google puts in work on their next in-house handset. Top class guts, 4.3 inch screen, killer front and back facing cameras, and Jellybean or whatever comes after it. I already ordered my iPhone 5, but if someone can put together a beast machine in a smaller package, I'd jump all over it.

So great to be an Android Fan. Unlike the rotten apple products that come out. My next upgrade is on October 1st. I have my eyes on the Samsung Note 2. 5.5 inch screen, 1080 by 720, super amoled, 4.1 Jelly Bean with 4g LTE.

I just went from the mytouch 4g to the galaxy s3 and damn impressive. I actually like big and heavy (the heavy part is why I loved the mytouch).
