Celtics Fan-My Lakers Wet Dream

Post#1 » by ddb » Tue Sep 25, 2012 7:28 pm

So I was thinking..What are the chances of Dwight Howard never playing at 100% this upcoming season? I mean, he's a 6"11 monster who relies on his athletic ability. A lot of what he does rests on his God given natural ability. what if he's not 100% when he returns and then because of the 82-game NBA schedule never returns to 100%??? Is he still better then Andrew Bynum?

What if Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant finally start to show their age?? Or at least 1 of the 2?

The Western Conferance is as good as it's ever been. There are literally 10 teams that are playoff worthy.
OKC, LAC, LAL, SAS, Den, Utah, Memphis, Dallas, GS, and Minny. And who knows what we're gonna get out of Phoenix. Even Sacramento has the ability to beat you on any given night.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers AREN'T as good as everyone is predicting. At first I was thinking they'll be a powerhouse Title Contender. Now I'm not so sure.

My Wet dream would be that Dwight Howards LA experience turns into a DWIGHTMARE! oooooooooooohhhhhh! He's never 100%, he never signs an extension and then holds LA hostage trying to get to Brooklyn.

You're 2013-2014 LAL. Brook Lopez, Pau Gasol, Metta, Kobe, Nash. lol

If Dwight's not healthy.. Bynum definitely better. That's not even a question. People can say well how unhealthy? But if he's lacking explosion & the ability to move that fast, then hell yeah Bynum is better.

Plus that brings it more to a KG level. KG plays & always had Dwight most of the time. Bynum is an actual center so it's a tougher matchup for KG especially with Bynum having more skill. If D12 is hurting a little, KG will take care of him easy.

On a serious note too, I don't think Dwight's surgery is little & simple as ppl are making it. Any kind of back surgery is very serious & he's talking about missing the preseason? He better be smart (probably won't be) & rest up cause I don't want no damn excuses when we beat LAL going 10 deep vs Nash Kobe Pau.

I can't say I've ever had a wet dream involving the Lakers...or any professional basketball team for that matter.

I still don't think we should be even thinking of the lakers until we can crack the superteam code that is Miami, the thorn in our path each of the last two years that has kept us from being able to avenge game 7 2010.

ddb, I hate to bust your bubble, but Dwight can't be traded to the Nets. Both the Lakers and the Nets will be over the luxury tax, so unless both of those teams make a ton of trades to get under the luxury tax, then I can't see that happening. Dwight to Brooklyn is dead as a door knob.

I'm so tired of reading about Dwight Howard. He's so fickle. I thought I'd read he didn't want to be traded to Los Angeles, or he would test free agency regardless of which team that he's traded to. Yeah, right.

Seriously, Howard needs to proofread his decisions from here on out.

It's kind of a non issue. We have to get through Miami first, and if we can get through Miami, we can get past the Lakers too.

I just can't see the Lakers NOT being a top 3 team in the west. Dwight, even at 80%, will be playing with the league's best passer and a still a very serious outside shooting threat. This ain't no Jameer Nelson ball. I just don't see any way this mix is not going to work. they may still lose to OKC, and I actually think they will, but they're going to be a great team next year.

The league's beset passer plays in Boston.

I never thought that Dwight will be back to 100% and the Lakers have to worry about Steve Nash and his back issues

He looks slow and soft in that video to be honest. not sure if that was meant to brag, but he isn't even close to ready.

Haha, not going to argue with that ddb. I think they're actually on par with each other.

I always thought he was slow down the block trying to take his defender 1 on 1. He was always soft too..no big surprise here. The fact that he didn't smash the backboard with his hook shoots is an hell of an improvement though, IMO.
A new dawn will rise in Boston. ‎#StayLoyal THANK YOU TRUTH!
