Oh! I just realized I didnt answer your question.

I always expected a mostly black with white trim jersey. But what I wanted? I was hoping for a third color.

I wanted the gold that the Saints have. You know that metalic gold that the Brooklyn Knights used to feature as well. To me...that would have been bad ass. And I wouldnt mind one bit if the black ones were the home jerseys.

Another option for a third color would have been a great blue. Didnt we hear a rumor about a Jay-Z blue?

As it stands...if they stick long term with plain black and white no third color I am rooting for those half and half ones we saw a couple of pages back.

I have said from the start of these that i cant see Yormack passing up the opportunity to to market all sorts of color options at some point. I envision an entire row of same style hats in every color you can think of on display racks. Ditto for the jerseys.

He has to do that t some point. At least until he sells out and makes these jerseys look like NASCAR. Because that's coming. Those jerseys will eventually have patches all over them which will really suck.

I know this doesn't belong here, but I thought Felton was super motivated and lost the weight lol?:

Wow, a Knicks fan actually congratulating us.

Most of the Knicks fans have bashing us of late, so it's refreshing to see that some Knicks fans can at least wish us well.

I don't hate the Nets. I've been watching them since the days of Kendall Gill and Van Horn.

I'm praying for an intense rivalry between the two teams, because it would be great for the city. I still can't believe that Brooklyn has a major professional sports team (even if it's the Nets  ) with a brand new arena. So cool.

You should post this in the all Brooklyn Nets thread too. It will be cool in the future to look back at that thread and trace the development through to it's finished product.

The arena looks stellar. Can't wait to go!

If I ever win the lottery I'm copping a luxury suite. I think they're said to go for $80K for the season for the cheapest ones all the way up to $400K with most of them being in the $120K range. I read that somewhere about a month ago. In all reality, especially if you're that rich or its bought by a corporation, that's a steal considering you're allowed a number of guests for each game.

IIRC at the Izod you could or maybe had to buy them for a year, so you could go to any and all events, sports and other for the whole year. I believe you had to make a 2 year commitment as well and purchase them in 2 year blocks so there were no issues in season of your box expiring or whatever, but mainly the year(or 2 year block) started right before the NBA/NHL season. I talked to someone high up in the organization in the ticket sales and promotions department about this years ago, someone else might remember better then me though, I never had that type of cash.

But that would be so dope. I would try to swap out maybe 10 games a year with someone with courtside seats.

I go by the stadium pretty often and I'm always puzzled by the style - is it supposed to look rusted on purpose, or what?

Yeah, it's weathering steel. The rusty look is on purpose.

Inside the Brooklyn Nets' Barclays Center, the most high-tech stadium in sports

The most high-tech stadium in sports. That's the pitch line for Brooklyn's new Barclays Center, new home of the Brooklyn Nets. It took nine years and some 35 court battles to build the billion-dollar stadium, which is wrapped in a sci-fi grid of tarnished metal plates that vary in size to give the entire building an oddly organic feel — as though it grew out of Brooklyn's industrial past. The Nets won't play their first home game against the Knicks until November 1st, but the Center itself opened last Friday in a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn borough president Marty Markowitz, and Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov. "Is Brooklyn in the house?" Bloomberg bellowed at the crowd to open his remarks. "I thought so."
