Add the "cat-smasher" monicker (which surely has reality to it) and I'm back to not feeling pity. Now I'm feeling satisfaction, in fact.

Are you suggesting that he smashes actual cats?

That as a kid he did, yes, absolutely. He got the name in his late teens. What other reason could there be?

Really? Gosh, I sure hope not.
That would instantly put him in whit Couture and Hughes for me.

I thought he got a lot of women, p*ss* pounder......? No?

Just watched the prelims. All Bacysnki was doing was throwing that left hand counter...the whole round, nothing but that punch. Then he clawed the right side of the poor guys face...and a minute later hits him with the left hand counter over-the-top. Pretty lame.

Pokrajic complained about grappling? HE took Vinny down and got caught, not the other way around. Magalhaes love boggles me too. Guy seems to be an arrogant dick. Did the 'dirt off my shoulder' move after the fight too. But he's open and stuff on the itnernet so has a fanbase, I get it. Still seems like typical BJJ _enfant terrible_.

Miller vs Dunham won FOTN, please tell me. That was crazy. A classic.

Hettes is out of his mind. The Diaz brothers don't wander in with their hands down like that and they have more than like a little forearm counter lead to the body. Sort of unimpressive than Brimmage has so little power he couldn't actually hurt him.

I'm pretty sure I spelled almost every fighter's name wrong in the above post.

I don't know if "cat smasher" is really a synonym for "pussy pounder". Seems quite distinct. LOL

This is entirely my guessing here, but it always seemed that the name probably rung true. He was introduced to us as an insanely troubled guy with a really rough, white trash background. That says to me literal cat smasher. Which is not cool. Horrible.

The name was quickly dropped once he actually got into the UFC too.

And, no, I don't believe he has had a whole lot of women.

Ya it's either that he actually used to smash helpless cats to death or he was really popular with the ladies, a nickname like that can only come from one of those two scenarios. Going on what I saw of him on the Ultimate Fighter 7-8 years ago I think the former is much more likely than the latter.

Catsmasher is a term meaning that he can be hit and not feel it. It comes from people who drive mini vans and drive over house cats and not know they hit them.

OK, maybe. Hopefully. Still not convinced.

I always assumed "cat smasher" just meant he beat people up. I never knew there were so many theories. That minivan thing sounds ridiculous, though.

I can kind of get that re: a cat's pain tolerance. They're about 20x tougher than humans when it comes to that. Leben's probably about 20x tougher than your average dude. It's just not the first nickname I would come up with out of that particular scenario, so it's probably unlikely.

But it's probably a name he got because of his work with the ladies or because he killed a cat.

I get that cats are tough, I just find it hard to believe that there's a name specifically for people who unknowingly run over cats with a minivan. Like there's an epidemic of reckless soccer moms thinning out the cat population.

Plus, if they were referencing the cat in this scenario, he'd be "Smashed Cat."

What about just calling him the crippler (probably not any better, lol).

I can only imagine the dark origin story behind that one.

Dana said he scored the fight for Stann over Bisping.

Surprising. I thought Bisping kind of cruised the last 2 rds.

Dana said that both him and Joe Silva would like to see Bisping fight Anderson. He said that they might do that fight in London, and it could be big for expanding the British market.

I'm guessing that if Weidman and Belcher both win at 155 then they'll face each other in a number one contender bout.

Its so weird for Dana to say that he'd love to see Bisping fight Silva like 30 seconds after he said that he thought Stann beat Bisping.
