Tanking is absolutely out-of-the-question, there is too-much invested in Okafor/Ariza/Nene. Ernie is going have to do what he should have done, aim higher for a back-up PG. Trade Booker if u have to.

OH!! How are those thrown-away 2nd round picks looking now? I wonder how-much trade-value Chowder, Barton, English, or any combo of those 2 picks would have right now. THIS is why I hate Ernie.

I like Booker why not Jordan Crawford?

Book probably has more value and he will have a reduced role because of who is ahead of him

With Wall and Nene not healthy yet, we could make another run for a high lottery pick, and if we have another high lottery pick, surely Ernie will be fired. (although the injuries could give him more excuses). We were well on are way to becoming a mediocre team, but but our course could shift if we have a bad record again.

Obviously I hope Wall's injury isn't long term though.

You've got parts of this wrong. Here's the more likely scenario:

- Wall and Nene out -- Wiz drive the tank and get the #4 pick
- with built in excuse, Ernie gets another year
- Ernie trades #4 pick for Carlos Boozer
- Boozer trips coming out of the hot tub and never plays for the Wizards

haha

If we end up trading Booker I'd like to think we might be able to get a better backup PG back then the likes of Livingston.

At the very least a Beal+Crawford backcourt should have better shooting than with Wall. Crawdford also at least tries on defense, while I think he'd be a downgrade over Wall defensively I don't think it'll destroy the defensive identity of the team. Crawford can pass well but has his issues with jacking shots, hopefully if Randy holds him on a short leash he might be able to buy us some time.

Wizards injuries, redskins injuries....Fall is in full swing in the DC metro area.

A.J price or Mack are starting point guard now? This is so depressing were going to have the worst starting point guard in nba starting the season off. We don't just need another point guard knowing Ernie we get another garbage point guard to replace Wall. We might as Well make some trades for a solid point guard and waive Mack this a good excuse for us to now.

Remember, Nene is DONE (per Zonker). Okafor won't be far behind. They're going to need Booker. At least until his plantar fasciitis flares up. Again.

Presumbably Jordan will get a hell of a lot more minutes than Price or Mack, who're both sub-replacement level. At least Crawford contributes (something) inefficiently...

Missing shots isn't a contribution. Crawford was the least productive of these three last season.

KEV PLEASE DO NOT CRUSH MY HOPES SO READILY

Ugh I thought this team was at least going to rise to the level of "watchable." Maybe Witt can put a shock collar on Jordan and zap him every time he tries to shoot.

That might fix how often, but they'll still need a solution for accuracy.

Adding a veteran pg during the offseason, I wonder why no one thought of that.

Today is national drink beer day... seriously. Good timing for us Wizards fans. I seriously feel so deflated after hearing this news this morning. Things were finally looking up around here, at least a little bit. Now I'm just waiting for the inevitable announcement of surgery after a failed comeback. This is the life of a Wizards fan. Sigh...

Wall said he felt it a month ago. A MONTH. The Wizards claim they had it checked out three weeks ago, but it came back negative. Then they had it checked out again recently, and it was bad news.

Color me skeptical...
