In this league I'm in (h2h, 12 team, 10 cat [ast/to ratio]), I get to protect 5 players. I feel like I have 6 players worth of keeper status. Just not sure who I should leave unprotected.
Any thoughts about these 6 players? Who would you leave unprotected?
R. Westbook
J. Harden
T. Lawson
S. Ibaka
G. Monroe
B. Griffin
My gut feeling is to leave Harden unprotected. Although, he does help with the Ast/To ratio they use in this league. And, there's also potential of him being traded and getting more touches in another offense.
Blake is probably a little overrated considering that he doesn't block shots or hit FT's. But he's so fun to own.
T. Lawson is a top 15 player according to fantasy metrics. He could easily be the top rated PG at the end of this season.
Same with Monroe. He's starting to enter his prime. He's just solid all the way around. He doesn't block many shots, but his steals make up for it
Ibaka is just a beast and owns the blocks category.
Westbrook, probably the only guy that I haven't thought about releasing.

Reason? PG depth is a reason why I would consider dropping Lawson. But, he's pretty darn good when you look at his stat in comparison to playing time. He's poised for a true breakout season. Denver has a fast pace offense. Andre Miller isn't getting any younger.
I'm really thinking about letting Harden go. But, I'm worried that he gets traded or signs with another team and gets to expand his offensive role.
So, I guess the question is Lawson or Harden?

Re: Need Help: Extremely difficult Keeper decision
Griffin. I know he's fun to own but with your cats he's BY FAR the worst. Assists to TO just gives Blake another cat to drag you down with. Adding the 10th cat boosts the value of PGs a ton as well.
Lawson and Harden were actually your best players last year...even better than Westbrook.
Here's how each guy ranked last year given your cats:
Westbrook - 29
Harden - 23
Lawson - 9
Ibaka - 32
Monroe - 71
Griffin - 139
It's not really even close. Blake is nice if you're punting FT% but since you're not, he's a clear drop. Blake's probably got some nice value too with guys who just go by names so if you're allowed trades in the preseason, see if you can get a pick for him or an upgraded keeper in a 2 for 1.

You're going to need to get rid of Blake. No need to punt FTS with that supporting cast. It's that or Ibaka but I say Blake.

Re: Need Help: Extremely difficult Keeper decision
I ended up letting Harden go.
I think Blake has more trade value than Harden at this point. And, I think it's easier to replace a SG than it is a dominant PF like Blake.
Thanks for the input tho.

That's the right decision, but I believe a very small percentage of people would let Blake Griffin go, because it makes their team look less appealing. Serious players that are focused on a winning a championship probably would let him go.

If it wasn't 10 category I'd say Harden but because of that I'd say Griffin

Lv Griffin unprotected. Those knees are a concern.
Lawson & Monroe are studs. I've been picking them since their rookie years.

Why ask help if you're not going to listen anyway? Like most have said you should have dropped Griffin.

Re: Need Help: Extremely difficult Keeper decision
Thats an outstanding team. I have two keepers and I am bouncing between Ibaka and Monroe. And I finished 2/12 last year.
But yeah, clearly dump Griffin.
