Eric Gordon's knee, Kaman's back, Curry's ankle, Wade's knee are in the news just today. When u go 224 deep u will have questions and thin spots. Once the teams are inputted into Yahoo we can import the league to BBM and get numerical evaluations. every team looks good right now very nice jobs of drafting. We started Sep 3 and today is Oct 1 so almost exactly 1 month.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on taking Rose after I grabbed Rubio...But I figured I'd be losing the assist and steals category for at least the first month, what's 3 more, right? Plus, I'm going to get a drunk offer for Rose anyway, so it's all good. 8-)

I can envision Cap's AA meeting:

First speaker: I was drunk and crashed my car
Second speaker: I was drunk and hit an old lady
Cap: I got drunk and traded Durant for Horford
Room: oh u poor man what a terrible story. U need a drink.......

According to BBM here are the projected standings:
1. Matt Buser 99
2. Rounder Block 95
3. SoTex 91
4. KB89 86
5. Seattle 85
6. Red Rover 83
7. Geobear 83
8. DCDoorknob 81
9. SLy 79
10 Gokce 74
11 SA Sugarkids 68
12 Hailfire 68
13 Cap 63
14Celticsfan 63
15 Silentjim 61
16 Writersblock 45

Not surprisingly the guys wih the earlier high picks project much better. WB with his all-DL team gets no love from the computer. GL in rebutting a computer.

I would like to point out that the waiver order is totally jumbled. i should have 1. But everybody seems out of order. Tomorrow waivers officially opens and people will claim with inaccurate spots.

Not good to see no RealGM manager ranked in the top-9 according to those BBM rankings!

BBM sucks !!! :)

To be honest, I'm very confident in our team. I can bet good money that we'll definitely not finish last.

I love my team and I do like WB's except Beasley, Rose and Rubio, the latter 2 will probably the doom of RealGM team's contender status. I actually almost hate Sly's team after the first 6 rounds or so. and Gokce's team is 'meh' in my opinion. I really think Wall is barely a top 50-55 talent at best, I think it was a wasted pick regardless of the his injury. (unless he develops 3ball or gets better FT% or something)

those comments were made by quickly glancing at the names, I know that Hinrich and Nate Robinson will produce for example but my brain can't process it and I end up hating Sly's team

by the way, BBM's projections are cumulative, and wb is about 60 games short with Rose and Rubio, that's why he is last and I think he will be scrapping the bottom as well. and my team has Wade, Curry and Roy, I guess that's the reason why mine is low as well.

Well, I'd like to respectfully disagree about Rose and Rubio. Sure, they're injured, but anyone who has played h2h fantasy ball knows the season is long and drawn out, and there are early season performers and late season performers. It's very rare that the top team on Dec 1 holds onto that spot all season. The team that wins it all is usually the one that's clicking on all cylinders after the all-star break. So I took a calculated risk. I'll be lucky to be top 8 heading into the new year (I'm guessing 10-12). Rubio is back by late December (though I took him when I had heard he'd be back by Dec 1), and should give me a boost as I start to make a run for the playoffs. Rose should be back at the all-star break which should magnify my playoff push. By the time the playoffs start, I think I'll squeeze in at 8th or 7th. At that point, I'll have a 1st round point guard that I picked in the 9th round. As I see it, plenty of guys who get picked in the 9th and 10th rounds that end up as waiver fodder, so that wasn't much of a big risk.

of course, now that I've made a good case for the calculated risk strategy, I can always trade Rose to someone else who's better than 9th round worthy anyway. Win-win.

I learned the hard way the reality of this league last year. I picked up Willy Chandler thinking he would sit on the bench for a month then jump in and ball. i was wrong. A guy getting zeroes on ur bench means ur 13 players have to outscore his 14 players. Plus any streaming is now with ur 13 guy and not the guy getting the for sure zero. willy was not even hurt just playin in CHina. Expecting to stay in the game with 12 players will doom u early. Expecting hurt guys to immediately step in will doom u late. Ur stream spot is with ur 12th best player and that will never work out for u. There will be weekly streaming help for ur lowest roster types. As long as ur lowest roster guys are getting u the fewest points.

Yes, but the problem with Chandler was that he WAS playing in China, and they had a strict policy in China that no NBA players could return early. Picking up anyone in China was a risky play last year.

I'm guessing you all are in plenty of leagues by now, but I have an opening for 1 or 3 more teams (currently 11, looking for 12 or 14) in an auction league (std 9-cat h2h w/ waiver $, continous waiver). Mostly cafe folks, red and jim are in it. Live draft on Yahoo, Oct. 23 @ 10 pm ET. Let me know if interested. Solid competition and live auction is always fun.
