A 30 win season would be great.

No it would not. I would prefer a 20-25 win season where we are close a lot and still get a top 3 pick. 30 wins puts us too high in the draft. We don't have the talent yet to make a move.

I agree but after all the ping pong balls matters and not the wins. And I can see us raising value of some pieces and having options to prevent overachieving later in the season. Don't worry Thunder sucked in first years and we are gonna emulate that as well

I can see us making Ramon Sessions look awesome and then trading him mid-season for a fringe lotto pick. That would be a particularly savvy move, because that would make Gordon play the majority of his minutes backing the 1, freeing minutes for Taylor right around the time of year we would expect him to start playing at a high level.

Anybody else think Tyrus should grow an old school afro?
Also how could you not like this fella.

Re: 2012 Bobcats Media Day
My observations:
> I liked hearing the coach say every starting position is up for grabs, and will be earned. If he means it, we will be a better team for it. I wasn't so thrilled about him dissing mid-range jumpers, but I think what he meant was "don't settle for a lower-value jump shot when you can drive and get to the line or deal it to someone open for a 3 pointer."
> Sessions will be a valuable player and PG. The earlier poster's idea of having him play great then trade him (unless it was intended as sarcasm) would be foolish. Kemba may win out, but Sessions is likely the better player now and possibly well into the future.
> We REALLY need Tyrus to play well. hopefully the staff can get him to focus on playing within himself, and do those things he CAN do at a high level. I hope they plan to play Biz at the 4 more this year, cause he really looks small in the photos. Biz talks about wanting to learn from Hakeem; I guess the legend hasn't selected Biz to work with him yet.
> I was really hoping they wouldn't include a photo of Cory Higgins. I am sick of that situation and the seemingly inevitability of his place on this team. There IS a better option out there than this guy.
> MKG is working on his jumper with the coach, which is a good sign. I wonder how much time he has spent here doing that?

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: 2012 Bobcats Media Day
Hey, I must say I am really stoked with the way the team looks so far. The new coach Dunlap looks terrific; he is really poised for a college assistant. Tough defensive basketball is my favorite way to play so this team should be a lot of fun, regardless of the talent level on offense.
With a quick google search, I was able to find this from the ap http://www.apimages.com/Search.aspx?st= ... style=AND& which includes far more images than on the Observer site. Tyrus looks noticeably bigger, particularly in the picture on the 2nd page, if we can have Diop and Tyrus in condition and contributing on defense, that will make this team that much better. If we are able to play high pressure defense, our back-end help-side shot-blocking has a chance to be best in the league!
