The A's and O's made it to the playoffs before the Jays did

Was good to see Cabrera win the triple crown. With all the great hitters to come around I'm surprised it took this long for another.

Does anyone have the slightest idea what would happen in this situation:

NYY, BAL, TEX, OAK, and TB or LAA all finish with 94 wins. It's pretty straightforward with 4, but how on earth would they handle tiebreakers if the Rays or Angels had been able to catch the pack this year?

I'm assuming they'd sort for div. winners first then move on to 3 WC teams, but wouldn't it require 2 different 2 game playoffs? Is there any other way it could go? I guess depending on who the A,B,C's are and how the first one went, they could turn the 2nd tiebreak into a 1gamer, but not under all circumstances. I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious, but IMO it'd be freaking hilarious to see 4 games of playoffs after a 162 game schedule to determine who would play in a 1 game playoff to actually make the playoffs.

I can't tell you how badly I want this to happen some day soon, 'cause it would be epic.

I had to look it up because it's too confusing to sort out in my head.

Ties among four teams

The four teams draw lots, as teams A, B, C, and D. On the first day team B plays at team A and team D plays at team C. The next day the winners of these games play each other at the ballpark of either team A or B (depending on who won the game).

Diamondbacks acquire Heath Bell in 3 team trade

The Diamondbacks announced that they have acquired Heath Bell, infielder Cliff Pennington, and cash considerations from the Marlins in a three-team deal with the Athletics. Miami will receive minor league infielder Yordy Cabrera from the A's and Oakland will get outfielder Chris Young and $500K from Arizona.

The Marlins will be picking up $8MM of the remaining $21MM owed to Bell over the next two years, according to Juan C. Rodriguez of the Sun Sentinel (via Twitter). The veteran was unhappy in Miami as the club was unwilling to restore him as closer and found himself clashing with manager Ozzie Guillen at points during the year.
