Traded Lebron with throw in's of David West & Dion Waiters for Love, Cousins and Klay Thompson.
Before you jump all over this (how could you trade lebron!?) look at my roster before and after the trade.
Before:
pg t.parker
sg t.lawson
sf l.james
pf b.griffin
c k.garnett
f z.randolph
g j.calderon
u amare
u n.pekovic
u k.martin
b d.west
b w.chandler
b d.waiters
all round a decent squad. might have been a little light on blocks and ft%.
After:
pg t.parker
sg t.lawson
sf w.chandler
pf k.love
c cousins
f z.randolph
g j.calderon
u amare
u n.pekovic
u b.griffin
b k.garnett
b w.chandler
b k.thompson
7 (!) legit double double (pts-reb) threats. count em! love, cousins, z-bo, amare, pekovic (dont sleep on this guy), griffin and garnett. Personally i think amare and garnett will come up short on reb's but thats still 5 guys who will more than likely avg dbl-dbls in pts and reb. now ill have to start w.chandler at the 3 which hurts but I have 4's & 5's to spare (garnett starting on the bench) for trade bait.
thoughts?

I like it. All you are really losing is assists....Love and Cousins are both monsters and Klay gives you threes...maybe try to trade one of your bigs for another legit PG?

Assuming Dion Waiters turns out to be a nobody:
Pros: You greatly increase your Rebounds, Points, and 3PTM, increase your Blocks, and slightly increase your FT%.
Cons: You decrease your FG% by a lot, decrease your Assists, and increase your Turnovers by a lot.
Overall, you gained more than you lost, so you did well in this trade. However, the categories you are not strong in are Assists, FG%, Blocks (you have a lot of non-Blocking PF/Cs), FT%, and Turnovers. You can't better your Turnovers or FG%, so focus on making your Assists, Blocks, and FT% better.
I would start by trying to trade Blake Griffin for Serge Ibaka to make your Blocks better and to get rid of a terrible Free-throw shooter, but if that fails, try to trade for Rudy Gay or Carmelo Anthony to alleviate your lack of Small Forwards. I would then try trading Zach Randolph for Ersan Ilyasova to further strengthen your 3PTM, Blocks, FT%, and give you another Small Forward. Also, I would try trading Kevin Garnett for Mike Conley or Jeremy Lin to strengthen your Assists, Steals, 3PTM, and FT%. Lastly, I would try trading Wilson Chandler for Nikola Vucevic to better your Blocks. You could also try trading Jose Calderon for Ricky Rubio for **** and giggles to set you up later in the season, but I doubt that owner bites.
If your waiver wire still has some decent players, I would strongly consider getting rid of Wilson Chandler if you're unable to trade him.

Is this a roto league or H2H? If it's Roto I can sort of roll with that but if it's H2h then I would've just kept lebron. You'll lose a bunch of assists, but at least you've improved your 3's a lot with this trade.

So basically just trade half his team for some really specific players

Essentially. It's what you do to give yourself a better chance of winning when your team's not good enough.
