I laughed at the joke. It's never too soon. Terrible situation though that noone should have to go through. He'll always associate one of his crowning career achievements (owning Texas and winning the Pennant) and the birth of his child with the subsequent death of his child, a real damn shame and something I cannot really even fathom.

I've got two young kids and could never imagine the anguish Neshek and his wife must be going through. My heart goes out to them.

But, the joke wasn't about that. It was about the use of the euphemism "loses" in the headline. That's fair game.

yes, of course it was. it's also irrelevant to the criticism.

i have very little in the way of death sensitivity, but it doesn't get worse than infant mortality. and using it as a launchpad for attempted wit and humor goes beyond taste or judgement, it's selfish and disgusting.

but by all means come to this clowns defense. sick board is sick.
