We overvalue our prospects too much and I doubt Seattle trades him for something similar to what we got for Halladay who was happy to leave anyways.
Who is we? AA has traded lots of prospects already so you can't mean him.

He most likely would have traded a top propect for Pineda if they had asked for anyone but Lawrie as well.
Ok then tell me why early last season why we didn't trade for Gio Gonzalez even though we were really interested in him? He's a front-runner for NL Cy Young and we missed out by not trading our prospects?
two reasons a) They didn't want our prospects as they are not good , or b) We overvalued our prospects and did not give up enough that Oakland wanted.
AA trades prospects; he just trades the ones he feels are expendable. He traded Michael Taylor at the height of his value (a risk at the time) and then months later traded Brett Wallace before his value plummeted. Those guys were top 50 prospects in baseball at the time so I think it is unfair to say AA won't trade prospects. The Jays had two issues prior to this season in regards to prospects. 1) Their top pitching prospects were in low-A, and 2) the prospects closest to the Majors (Drabek, Alvarez, Hutchison, etc) were likely needed on the big league club given the general lack of depth on the roster. So the Jays lacked expendable high ceiling prospects, which isn't going to get it done on the trade market. The expendable prospects they did have, in AA's eyes at least, were traded for Happ, Delabar, and Lincoln.
I don't think he will trade D'Arnaud, the Lansing trio, etc, for anything short of a star, and Gio was not a star prior to this season (he was probably on par with Ricky Romero pre-2012, obviously that has changed in 2012). That might change if Felix becomes available, but short of that, I can't see a scenario where AA bites. Although desperation can change a lot of things.
