Yeah pills can be a bit scary. The molly when it first came out was usually pretty good, but people are getting greedy from what I've noticed and trying to pass off either fake stuff (basically just baking soda or some crap) or cut with something minor. Granted in Colorado, stuff tends to get cut more then on the coast because it hits more hands first. Bath salts was the big thing around here is what I heard. Most of the time it just ends up being bunk and just doesn't do anything if it's cut. If you are really worried there are little tester kits you can get that show you whats in them. My buddy said they were handing them out like crazy at burning man so I'm sure you can find a way to order them. I wouldn't get it from a suspect source, and buying from a kid at a show is pushing your luck, bound to just get some bunk and waste money. I alwasy get from a source that someone knows, have a face and a number or contact through a friend so at least you can go back to them and be like yo, this stuff is whack. If you don't have any sources, go a strip club, be nice to a girl for a while then ask her. Serious, they always have a client that offers them 'good ****' haha

I have anxiety. Those brain altering psychoactive drugs you mentioned actually help a ton. I was on some 3 years ago, weened myself off and am still reaping the benefits of them. I live in the moment more now than I ever did, instead of constantly conceiving of every contingency. Weed definitely helps with anxiety, but can't compare to some of those prescribed drugs. Plus, unlike weed, I experienced no side effects and remained fully functional as opposed to 90%.

I am truly glad they helped you. You are extremely lucky, more and more research comes out showing those drugs potential danger and many prominent researchers and clinicians around me would not use them unless absolutely necessary. There are strong links coming out to dementia in elders caused by anti-depressants and it's fairly common knowledge that prescriptions for them are often guess and check by clinicians. There is a reason depression is a side effect of most anti depressants, it's because in the clinical trial a lot of people saw 0 improvement because it didn't work. That being said, I generally think we're over medicating in this country in general.

If you weened yourself off easily that is even more impressive, I have friends/family that have had serious health issues coming off of them.

Like I said, if you need them, use them because the mental issues are real, medical things, but don't let them be your first choice. It's worth giving therapy a shot and trying some lifestyle changes.
