I would add that is says, that Jerry Sloan was in the spurs "coaching circles"

Has anyone discovered the significance of Sloan's presence at the Spurs camp? I'm assuming it's as simple as Scotty extending an invitation to hang out for a few days and Sloan accepting in order to satisfy his basketball jones... Must have been fun for him, 'cause if there's anyone still active in today's NBA who is as old school as Jerry, obviously it's Pop.

How awesome would it be if Avery Johnson got fired halfway through the season and the Nets went out and hired Sloan?

I don't get the fascination with Avery Johnson....... He's just not that good of a Coach......
