I'll be at the game tonight, looking forward to seeing this so called triangle offense. Also can't wait to see how Smart uses Trob. Hopefully Jimmer gets a lot of burn tonight as well as Brooks, would like to see them in action.

Unfortunately I won't be able to watch this one in person but if it's on firstrow I'll be watching it from there. While I've got the A's game on too of course.

Not a bad first half. The second unit looked pretty good.

Hmm, quick thoughts.

Robinson looks good, looks much different than in summer league
Tyreke looked bad and the offense looked much less fluid when he was playing
Johnson looked like a genuine NBA small forward, haven't seen that for awhile on this team
Bummed that Smart isn't alternating Tyreke and Thornton
Jimmer looks much more comfortable
Cousins is pulling up for too many threes

- Everyone looked to be in very good shape.
- Cousins 5-15 FG is somewhat misleading because a lot of his shots were good looks. He got blocked at least 3 times today though. Got to the line A LOT.
- Evans looked very conservative on offense. He was more of a facilitator than a scorer today. He looked really good at it. I was actually surprised that he only ended up with 4 assists. He made good plays for his teammates every time he was on the floor. His shot mechanic looks better. Kinda wished he was more aggressive.
- Nothing noteworthy from IT but I like how he goes to the coach on every break in the game to get some coaching or advice.
- JT had a a decent game. Kinda same like IT, nothing noteworthy though.
- MT23 was active on both ends of the floor. Did not force any shot.
- Salmons was blah. His shot was not there tonight. Passed the ball when needed to though.
- T-Rob was one of our best players tonight along with Johnson. T-Rob's jumper was automatic. Played with energy and played hard D all game long. Looked WAY better than he looked in the summer league.
- Jimmer looked a lot more aggressive today. Attacked the basket a lot more than we have seen. To me, he won the PG against IT today. Jimmer looked more confident.
- Johnson was probably the best player on the floor for the Kings. He wrecked havoc on defense; was very active. Had about 3 blocks. Also, he brought down the house when he made 2 consecutive defensive plays (blk & steal) which lead to a Jimmer 3. Had a nifty assist to Hayes (iirc). Overall, he looked great out there.
- Hayes was okay. Played hard on defense. Made all of his shots. Blew a lay up though.
- Not enough PT for Brooks & Mitchell to draw conclusions.

The Kings looked pretty good out there. I didn't see the annual rustiness from them tonight (like with every pre-season in the past). It seems like Smart prepared them close to regular season form already. Which is excellent.

Thanks everyone for the re-caps. I wanted to watch this bad, but it looks like I won't be able to see the team until the regular season starts. CSN is letting me down.
