-TJones was awesome, showed a mid range game, crashed the offensive glass, hit a 3, and exhibited some of that handle. Basically, everything we saw in the summer league. There's something about him, too...it seems like he's always under control, very confident, and just has a high bball IQ. For those who missed it...

- DMo looked lost on the court, didn't know when to roll, or step out. He missed an inbounds pass because he wasn't even looking at the ball, and gave up way many points to Thabeet in the paint. Saying that, he looked much better in the fourth, showing a nice-ish touch, making rotations better.
- Lamb was good. He forced some shots before he went out, but man...he's smooth. And he was getting up HIGH for some of his rebounds too, encouraging to see. And his long arms can really make him a disruptive defender if utilized correctly...he had a steal, and almost had another one which would have ignited an easy fast-break.
- Asik was good. He rebounded, he's terrific at running the floor, and his hands looked really good. Even hit a couple FT's, and had some hook shots. It was apparent in the first half we were superior defensively when he was on the court (I thought he was slightly late on helping in some of the shots in the second half, but not too worried about that).
I don't like KMart, but dude can shoot, and knows how to get to the line. He should have a better year than last, definitely (if he stays healthy of course). Douglas had some nice passes, though I kinda lol'd when Bullard said Douglas was a "pure PG." Deflino had some really good looks, but missed most of em...would just presume to chalk it up as a poor game, but I hope he doesn't take too many minutes away from Lamb..
Lin wasn't too impressive, TBH. But not going to judge anything off one game, especially when Lin is still reportedly not 100%. Westbrook murdered him and he didn't get to the lane as much as I would have expected (again, probably have to temper expectations, especially with the starters that you know are gonna play 34+ minutes per game)...
Parsons hit two mid range jumpers...that could be a nice element if he could hit that with consistency. I don't think we saw much of that last year, basically 3's, and in transition/garbage sort plays.
Forbes wasn't afraid to chuck it. Machado has a nice control of the offense, though he really didn't play much, and blew an easy layup. Morris had a pretty nice stretch to end the 2nd Q as well....it sucks he got hurt and had to go to the locker room.
Patterson's jumpshot always seems too strong, or is that just me? Seems like from last season, it clanks off the back of the rim and ricochets high into the air...IMO, he was most effective when he faced up and bullied his way to the rim.

Did Jones play small forward or power forward?

finding a silver lining in his game, he did show some slick passing. on several passes, he made some quick, smart decisions, good deception, and showed the ability to pass from various arm angles. so there's that.

Maybe when both Motie and Jones are on the floor, we'll have Jones defend 5.(which will then make Jones the center). At 6'10 250lb, jones is a big boy.

not when opponent is playing an actual center at center
we need a bigger body to bang inside the paint
greg smith is closest we got now
i know you guys are against trading white or morris for one

Re: PRESEASON GAME 1: Houston Rockets v. OKC Thunder
how did dougie play?
i watched part of the first half on the replay but fell asleep last thing i saw was him make a crazy one handed pass inside for an assist....looked at the numbers, but how was the eye test?
also from the little i saw d-mo annoyed me...that missed inbounds catch and the 3 second call (i know different rules here) were bad, but he will learn
tj is the man from the little i saw and from what y'all are saying he stayed that way

thabeet 7-3 / 2.21 263 lbs. / 119.3 kg.
motie 7-0 / 2.13 222 lbs. / 100.7 kg.
Thabeet is C , motie is PF .
IF they are trying to make motie defend big C, they are doing mistake. Ofcourse he can defend decently versus smaller centers/rebound. But hes primarily PF.
IN SL were he played his size players even though he played C(he still playing like a PF primarily), he looked.
