Liggins does some things well. He's athletic, defends with great effort, makes decent passes, can handle the ball a little. But he also plays frantically at times, can't shoot and can't really create his own shot.

I'm still confused as to why we let Liggins go over someone like Harper or bringing in someone like Jones/Eyenga over him. I think Liggins has a higher ceiling and is already an overall better player than any of our current wings.

Lets trade for Liggins! I am with most here, don't know why we let him go. This guy completely shut down Marshon Brooks and is not inept offensively either.

Have to say OKC is my clear cut second favorite team now. Just like the way they are built and how they run things.

OMG, he completely shut down a 2nd year player in summer league, sign him up for the HOF.

Jason Collins had success guarding Dwight, should we throw big money at him?

2 different regimes have had a look at Liggins and the current ones didnt want to keep him. They have more experience in doing this than any of the arm chair GM's we have on this board.

Here is an idea, look at the name of the site we are posting on. You look like a complete idiot complaing about arm chair GMs on a site called RealGM. But I am sure you have never given your opinion on roster moves.

Oh and guess what, OKC liked Liggins enough to get him. There goes your logic right out the window.

Try again, but this time do better.

I didn't know OKC picked Liggins up. Great pick up, I was really hoping we would keep him.

Oh and Noonskadoodle Liggins played great imo....the whole time watching him play made me cringe because i still wonder why we let him go and a guy like Q is still around.....

Man, you just reminded me why I am so pissed about Henny giving away Liggins to the thunder for free.

Was that so he could sign Armon Johnson and Dequan Cook?

OKC also gave huge money to Perkins and signed Thabeet.

Not saying that Liggins cant play and isnt possibly NBA caliber player, but if the best you can say about him is stopping a 2nd year player in one summer league game, that isnt much.

I just hate how people think they know more than people how have years of experience and are paid to do this for a living. yes, they can be wrong, but they have access to much more information that we do. Maybe Liggins wouldnt sign again with the Magic because he felt that he wasnt being given a fair shake due to playing time last year. Maybe he felt he had more opportunities with OKC, since he would be behind AA, Redick at SG and Harkless/Turk at SF here.

Jones not Cook.

I'm really perplexed by what people saw in Liggins last season that was so spectacular.

I agree, but we always overrate our players so this isn't nothing new. I think Liggins is reaching Travis Diener levels of greatness on this board at the moment.

Liggins will end up a starter down the road for some team. Players don't have to show something spectacular in their rookie season to end up solid players in this league. But, I saw enough in his ability and intelligence to prove to me that Liggins is a solid NBA player. Crack on me all you want but Henny let him go to his former team, the Thunder for nothing.

If Henny was truly trying to rebuild, then why did he take on Afflalo and Harringtons bad contracts and let promising youth like Liggins and Orton go. It just boggles the mind.

Vaughn will give Nelson freedom to run the offense. Although it's dangerous to draw too many conclusions from a preseason opener, Nelson noted that Vaughn didn't call a single play in last Sunday's exhibition in Mexico City.

He'll definitely have a good year. And the fact that our bigs won't crowd the paint (Gus & Nik can spread the floor) will open the lane even more for Jameer to drive & kick (or score). There's gonna be so much movement and passing in this new offense.
