From an outsider's perspective, Shved probably impressed me more than anyone else. He seemed to have a tight handle and always found a way to deliver a pass to an open man. His game seems pretty well suited to the NBA.

Props to Turbo_Zone for the sig.

I think he's been impressing Adelman too. I think Rick went into the season thinking Shved wouldn't have an immediate impact, but he's going to be the kind of player that you have to get in the game. Almost like Rubio in that way.

If that means no more Luke or JJ at SG I'm all for it.

I think there is a part of Bareas game we dont always see on TV or the stat box, his communication and leadership skills are positive. Like I saw in the pre-season game last night and last years games he would always huddle everyone up to let them know whats happening and to get everyone on page, not to mention he was one of the remaining Wolves from last year who called out players who didnt try their hardest.
"We've got problems here," Barea said after his team shot 10-for-40 in the second half and struggled on defense. "We have a lot of guys that don't care. On a basketball team, when you have a bunch of guys who don't care, it's tough to win games. We're going to keep getting [losses] here until we get players that care about winning, about the team, about the fans."
They just come in here after the game like nothing happened," Barea said. "That's what happens to a losing team.

do you think barea's low assist total had to do with kevin love and ak47's poor shooting night?

I think it being the first game since last season since these guys played together and then the fact you add in 8+ new players it will take a couple games to adjust.

Re: Game #-7: Pacers vs. Wolves (Fargo, ND)
I don't understand the Barea hate. He didn't force anything from what I saw(but this is pre-season, can't put enough emphasis on that) and he took shots that I would expect anyone to take.
Shved looked good. I was keeping an eye on if he could make a move past defenders or if he can't handle the bigger and stronger two guards (Like P George), but he did great and he had some nice dimes. I can see his 0-4 shooting as nerves for his first NBA game in a T-Wolves uni, i'm sure every player has had the first game jitters.
Conroy is a PG, but one bone headed move he made was when Shved was in the corner and Will did a dribble hand-off to him and it ended up causing Shved to get double teamed. I just facepalmed and I hope we don't keep him on the roster for the sake of Roy.
Also, I don't want to rely on Rubio coming back for us to be a force. We have enough talent to be a force and Ricky can ease his way into the team. It's not like he's going to return to 100% form his first game back and we're going to be a complete machine. He's going to be rusty as ****. We need Barea and Luke to be our guys and not put too much pressure on Ricky's comeback.

The thing I liked about Conroy was that Dante and him were the only 2 without a turnover and Conroy played 18 min while Cunningham played 7. He played well, 3 assists,3 rebounds, 2 steal and 1 block. Idk I kinda want to see more of what he can do.

Re: Game #-7: Pacers vs. Wolves (Fargo, ND)
Barea : Old dog doesn't learn new tricks.
Conroy : Dispensable
Roy : The key still is the time.
Shved : IMO the best thing of the night. I'm not worried about his shot, he never was a consistent shooter. He will do games with more than 20 pts and others with 0. The key for the future are the points of Shved+Rubio playing together, around 30 pts would be well. Rubio surely will be the best man of the league who pass to the player who make the assist.
Can't wait to see him playing together Rubio ... offense and defense. I think he can guard 2 and 3. It's important he played minutes as the third perimeter player.
Budinger : If he plays the RS with same level, it would be perfect.
Williams : His turnover pissed Adelman. His offense was awesome. I'm surprised he played only few minutes.
Ak47 : Awesome defender, but we can need more points from him.
Love : Guaranteed top player.
Peko : I was especting more than him. Too many mistakes under the rim.
The rest : ....

Barea was fine yesterday did exactly what was required of him which was not to make too many mistakes.
